It is. Everything that should not work works in Hazbin. It is truly passion project.
Repetitive edgy designs straight from Tumblr, horrible red everywhere and stupid offensive jokes are like breath of fresh air after worst examples of cal-arted, safe, random, angle-less, toothless cartoons of modern era.
It is like some wacky cartoon from 20s that skipped through century to 20s. It is adult in a forgotten way. Characters are also gay in the RIGHT way. You even don't perceive them like annoying alphabet people that spoil everything in the world since 2010. They are FUN.
Also, the premise is classical. Basically princess who wants more. For greater good. But in hell.
