> Marvel is bringing U.S. Agent back with his own series this November. Christopher Priest and Stefano Landini are here to get readers acquainted with John Walker all over again in U.S.Agent #1. As an added bonus, the former Super Patriot is sporting a brand new look courtesy of Landini’s design.
New U.S.Agent series from hristopher Priest and Stefano Landini
>Black conservative writer
>White conservative male hero
This is gonna be a beutifull shit storm isnt it.
>“‘American Zealot’ is a morality play told in five acts. John Walker has been fired. Or he quit. Depends on who’s telling the story. Now finding his way as a civilian government contractor, Walker is making more money and taking more risks as he can now venture into places sanctioned agents can’t always follow,” Priest began. “However, with limited official access to intelligence data, the now-former USAgent’s missions can and often do lead him into blind alleys he’ll need to MacGyver himself out of.”
>He added, “I was thrilled to be invited back to Captain America until I realized it was this guy, Cap’s scowling, emotionally damaged misfit cousin. Cousin America. But USAGENT presents an exciting writer’s challenge to explore the myriad expressions and aspirations of the American dream, how that dream is fulfilled or not, through the eyes and voices of a nation often at war with itself. John Walker is a man often at war with HIMself, so Marvel knows no better a protagonist for this journey, this stumble, this Parkour carom through the many visions of the greatest nation on Earth.”
> Landini conveyed his enthusiasm, “I am incredibly excited to be part of this new project dedicated to US AGENT together with this incredible staff. The story set up by Christopher is truly intense and full of twists, I can't wait for readers to see the incredible work we are doing with their own eyes.”

>Christopher Priest and Stefano Landini bring back the Super-Soldier you love to hate!
>“American Zealot” Chapter 1 of 5: John Walker, the former Super Patriot, has been stripped of his official USAgent status and is now operating as an independent government contractor protecting government covert interests. His latest protection detail draws him into a conflict between a small town and the corporate giant trying to destroy it. John acquires a new partner and new enemy along the way while being haunted by ghosts from his past and confronting challenges to his future.
>Mini series
Put him on an ongoing you cowards.
It sure will be a shitstorm, though I'm not sure if it is right to simplify Priest as a conservative. He certainly holds a lot of positions that don't align with the usual American conservative crowd.
>That Daredevil issue where he talks about gun control
woof
You have my attention.
Here's hoping he loses an arm again. He was best as a warden.
He only got a mini due to MCU Synergy, that's why he drinks MCU Energy here
It was Deathstroke, and an amazing issue at that. Easily the greatest take on gun control I've seen in a comic.
whoops, typo'd
yeah deathstroke
based
This board is not equipped to deal with this in a mature or well reasoned way. Where else can I go to discuss it when it's out?
Well there is a difference between being conservative
And being a "Conservative" if you get what i mean
>USAgent
>Priest
BASED
Fuck yeah, glad to see Priest handling something weird and out there again.
If you're gonna classify Priest as anything you can probably classify him as left leaning with the capacity to rationally think
Like Macgruder, although he's definitely further left than Priest
Looks like shit
who'd you want him to write? I'd be interested in him doing a spider-man ongoing if not amazing bring back web of or something
Discord server of Marvel Database.
>Priest
>USAgent
Its a match made in heaven, was scared he was done with capes after Deathstroke
He wants Iron Man, but just Nightwing on the other side they won't give it to him
Priest and Iron Man would be a fantastic fit. Give the franchise a much needed kick in the ass and focus.
>I was thrilled to be invited back to Captain America until I realized it was this guy, Cap’s scowling, emotionally damaged misfit cousin. Cousin America.
Put him on you cowards
Priest vs Coates: Battle of ideoligies
Priest's ideas for Nightwing were awful.
lmao, I didn't notice that
The Joe Kelly Spider-Man series that he was going to do is in limbo, I doubt that Marvel is going to add any more titles any time soon.
Honestly I would be happy with Priest on almost any ongoing. He said he would like to write Daredevil, and Zdarsky's run seems to be heading towards the conclusion. So maybe that.
Better than fucking Ric
Why have we not gotten that? He has the cadence that would fit Tony at least better than slott or ANY of the people who have written him for the last decade
The first issue has to be done, was it going to be an ongoing? Because they kept that vague, though I do likes me some joe kelly
My only guess is that he wouldn't fit the voice that Marvel's been trying to push for Tony to better fit his MCU counterpart.
But it seems that the new run is supposed to stray from that anyway? But I don't trust the writer after his Doom run when everyone is OOC and retarded.
That guy probably won't make it past a year anyway
Iron Man need somebody with clear ideas, a good handle on keeping toich with supporting characters, and the ability to work for at least 3 years
Priest would be perfect
>was it going to be an ongoing?
Yep
