The problem with Huey is, as a leader sometimes you have to dumb yourself down to appeal to a wider audience.

I remember in the mlk episode, the show made a reference to the fact that Rosa Parks wasn’t the First Lady to refuse giving up her seat on the bus. Early an teenage pregnant lady did.
It had to be Rosa because there wasn’t anything bad to say about her and they had no choice but to address the issues instead of attack her character to discredit the movement.

I don't remember them making that reference. I only remember that Robert Freeman was told to go home after Rosa Parks was arrested.

And why would they discredit the movement and attack Rosa parks? Aaron McGruder is BLACK.

>The problem with Huey is, as a leader sometimes you have to dumb yourself down to appeal to a wider audience.
That was the whole point of the Christmas episode. He made a serious version of Jesus Christ as a black man.

His second version had celebrities and samurai fights

lmaoing at all of the people on this board who think Huey is "based and redpilled" when he is literally a socialist black supremacist. They just toned him down.

Huey Freeman is one of those people who would challenge white people on their knowledge of historical figures like Charles Drew, Garrett Morgan, Madam C.J. Walker, Robert S. Abbot, John H. Johnson andThe Greenwood District riots on 1921 in tulsa, Oklahoma, but would be totally ignorant of John Brown, the failed insurrection at Harpers Ferry, Virginia in 1859, Andrew Goodman, Michael Schwerner, The Greensboro Five, Heather Heyer, or how Irish immigrants were treated in the U.S. when they first arrived, even though Langston Hughes pointed it that historical fact out in one of his "Simple" short stories.

Robert freeman in that scene was overshadowed by Rosa parks when he refused to give up his seat. That in itself was the reference.

I’m not saying Aaron McGruder would discredit the movement. I’m saying that the civil rights movement would have been discredited if the first person they chose was the pregnant teenager instead of Rosa parks.

But see that it was staged was fine because they were actually fighting horrid segregation in the 1960s and they found out actually having a clean personality be who they are supporting helps your movement
What are they fighting now? "Trying to stop us looting is racist" because of a very sketchy personality dying in a sketchy way?

>Robert Freeman in that scene was overshadowed by Rosa Parks.....

That's the point I was making. The cops told him, "Stay out of trouble".

But you're right. History has all but forgotten that pregnant woman you speak of. Probably would've added to the stereotype that black women were "Loose" and therefore, in and of itself would have been seen as a discredit to the civil rights movement in general.

What is Hueys exact stance on white people?

I don't think even he knows.
On the surface he doesn't like or trust them, but he's also met one or two he actually gets along with. He's confused, and hasn't quite figured it out yet.

Instead of black Jesus, he should have gone with Brown Arabic Jew Jesus, which would have made sense with the context of the time.

And what’s up with the black Jesus thing anyway, is Huey a black Hebrew Israelite or something.

I dont think Huey is racist enough to have a stance on an entire group of people.

I actually remember one of the school faculty telling Huey that Jesus was “middle eastern”

>The problem with Huey is, as a leader sometimes you have to dumb yourself down to appeal to a wider audience.
Yes thank you for pointing out the obvious that McGruder made painfully clear.

He doesn’t hate them on principle but feels a lot of them aren’t hurt the black community

>feels a lot of them aren’t hurt the black community

Wanna try typing that out again?

I think there’s a difference between dumbing things down to a reasonable degree and acting like a fool
Like when a scientist in a show says something and someone says English please. Then they make an analogy that relates to what they are talking about.

>Huey is "based and redpilled" when he is literally a socialist black supremacist
Where's the problem, exactly?

There was an episode critical of China for it's authoritarianism and capitalistic tendencies, but I don't think they went out denying China is a socialist state.

The problem is totally respectable black people get killed in the same sketchy ways as the sketchy black people, which points to the problem being police think they're entitled to treat black people any way they want regardless of character. So now you're in the same situation as the ACLU, where the logic is (paraphrasing here) you have to defend sketchy people too because bad policy and abuse of power is always tested on them first or justified as the only means of stopping them.

Which illiterates and wokes interpret as meaning they can do whatever they want.

But a socialist black supremacist is pretty based.

>lives off an older relative
>in a safe sheltered middle class suburban house
>wants for nothing
>largely self educated, know it all
>too light skinned to know true racism
Typical BLM member, bet his online presence is poppin.

>Samuel L Jackson doesn't think you're a racist.

>He does! He's just seen me say to a black woman, "You're not allowed to sit on this bus." It's like that whole racism-on-a-bus incident all over again.

>What, the Rosa Parks incident?
>It wasn't in a park, it was on a bus.
>Maybe that was the name of the stop.

Huey was never a leader type his introspective nature and misanthropic attitude prevent him from dumbing his massage down.
"basednesness" is not tied to an ideology its an attitude.

He's probably saying that as a way of sticking two fingers up at 'Jesus was white'. Some people include Middle Eastern people under the umbrella of 'black', and given that there were black people more prominent in and around Egypt etc. at the time, i.e. the Middle East, there was at least at small chance of HIm being black.

He's a kid. If his grandad moves, so does he, obviously. Until then he was living in inner city Chicago.

Of course, he's only moved out to another part of Illinois, so it's not really an improvement.

You are so pretentious.

I'M NIGGLE RICK! YOUR BIKE MORTY!!

Huey seems like the type to ask you what type of socialism you're talking about and what you want to know about it, and then when you sit there in slack-jawed silence because you don't know anything, he'd get mad at you.

He's 10. In America that's young enough to be tried as an adult and summarily executed.

Didnt they get rid of that law in 2016 or something.
