Well after seeing this thumbnail I'm hoping for a series about grown up dipper and pacifica. Who drew this?

do you think Disney would let him make a cartoon for a rival streaming company using Disney characters? N-word please.

Gravity Falls is owned by Disney, whatever show Hirsch is making has to be original characters or else he'd get in legal hot water

Looking at Hirsch's work, he likes stuff thats supernatural, comedic, and usually has some fourth wall breaking. But its hard to imagine something other than gravity falls

He posts about Nintendo a lot- what are the odds that its Nintendo-related. That would explain the secrecy

Some knockoff rick and morty crap with a lot of Oh Geez Ie ie ie ie dont know rick voice guest starring.

What reason is there to think that? Hirsch's show came out before Roilands, is there a reason to think he's a plaigarist?

hopefully nothing like my Netflix series

Honestly I loved a lot of Gravity Falls episodes and Lost Legends proved to me that he's a great writer when he's not having his ideas censored by disney. I'm very curious, i hope it still involves mysteries though, since the Stan/Ford reveal was one of the most satisfying bits of mystery ever in animation

What is your Netflix series user

I will be about a boy named Gripper Dines and a girl named Atlantica Southeast

the one with gays and/or minorities

>Florida swamp mystery adventures
I'm in.

Honestly would be a chad move if he literally reskinned gravity falls with new names and now just made the same show with a higher budget and less restrictions to piss off disney

His weird childhood hang-ups just like GF.
Hopefully with less pining (hue) for his sister.

I wish him all the best. He’s a raging neoliberal, but he can make decent shows. Not great, but still ok

>looking at Hirsch's work
>its hard to imagine something other than gravity falls
Then look at literally anything else he's worked on, like his Flapjack episodes.

The Ren & Stimpy reboot.

>one of the most satisfying bits of mystery ever in animation
Do yourself a favor and watch more animation that isn't for idio children.

>setting that's gimmicky but still whitebread
>reuses the GF artstyle so people know it's a Hirsch production
>based on GF, he'll hire a bunch of funny writers, then talk as if he wrote the whole series completely by himself

>Migos sings:"DANCE WITH MA DOGS IN DA NITETIME. TRAP NIGGA WIT DA CHICKIN LIKE POPEYE!!....."
>We see banjo and Kazooie fighting Grunty's robot henchmen that are basically the minions
>Kazooie: Aww jeez banjo. These guys mean business! I don't think its-
>Banjo: Oh chillax Kaz! I can totally beat the crap outta THESE nuts and bolts!
>*Gets kicked in the groin my the minion robots*
>Banjo: OOOW! My Nuts!...
>The robot henchmen do the minion laugh thing at Banjo's expensse "ha ha nuts! Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahhaahhahaahhahahahahahahahahahaahahaha!"
>Kazooie: *face palms*... great

Having crushes on girls is a weird childhood hangup? Dippers coming of age issues were incredibly common and relatable. Whats the weird part?

Okay, I'll bite. Whats some satisfying mystery in animation?

Can any industryfags leak what he's working on? Netflix is a huge company, there have to be some anons with some answers. You're among friends here

>common and relatable
found the virgin

Wait, you never had an unrequited crush growing up, or felt like you wanted to impress anyone? You never once felt insecure? You're on Zig Forums of all places. If you really are a paradigm of confidence, please teach me your secrets!

Not sure if you were thinking this with your pic, but I thought the best episode of Gravity Falls were the ones that sincerely embraced the horror genre, without parodying or making fun of it. I would want to see more of that.

I guess you could say Stranger Things already did it but theres almost no comedy in Stranger Things

I feel like Hirsch has tried to work on half a dozen things during and after Gravity Falls ended and all of them fell through. I'll believe this Netflix show will be a thing when I see it.

the trick is to not think unless you're doing a maths problem

Hirsch wrote on Spiderverse, that didnt fall through, it won an Oscar. He also worked on Owl House which is currently running, and "Inside Job" which is in full production. The only thing I know of him leaving is Detective Pikachu. Is there something else?

"Maths"- British, innit?

He alluded to a "big project" back in 2017 or something, so that may be a project that he pitched that didn't materialize or something. But considering that Netflix is paying him 20 million dollars to work for them i assume he's making something pricey
