Thoughts on Viacom bringing them all back?
I honestly like the idea and can't understand why the same people who shilled the reboots of shows like She Ra, TMNT, Thundercats, The PowerPuff Girls, Teen Titans and Ducktales are so mad about it.
Thoughts on Viacom bringing them all back?

because its not by people in their clique
Is there really anything wrong with that? Viacom has done basically nothing for animation since the early 2000s. Dropping some nostalgia bait for the promise of something in the future might be an OK idea.
I read the whole thing in Roger's voice.
These are DUDEBRO shows
>and can't understand why the same people who shilled the reboots of shows like She Ra, TMNT, Thundercats, The PowerPuff Girls, Teen Titans and Ducktales are so mad about it.
They only shilled them in the first place because they were connections they either knew or wanted to appeal to.
>supporting weird, edgy, problematic cartoons made by very questionable individuals
:/.......
Neutral on B&B. Optimistic for Clone High. Can't fucking wait for R&S; that show was my childhood man.
> B&B
Will probably be good, 2011 was good.
>R&S
Could give a fuck less, Adult Cartoon party was shit and the classic episodes don't hold up
>Clone High
Evergreen, the planned season 2 was supposed to be those clones dying and new ones taking their place to re-do their sophomore year anyway so a reboot can't ruin any intended storylines. Lord and Miller have been cranking out gold since CH anyway so I can't imagine it could be bad.
those people are mad mostly because the guy behind ren & stimpy's a piece of shit. I don't like it because it's not like it's a new show just using the brand (like with she-ra, TMNT, thundercats or Teen Titans) but it's just literally bringing back the same show as before.
clone high gets a pass though, they got robbed so I'm perfectly fine with it coming back.
According to John K they're already faggots anyway so idk why people are worried about any further (((politics))).
This Beavis and Butthead is hard to mess up but it didn't really need to come back. R&S is like 10 years too late to have a relevant reboot especially since we know more about John K. Clone High is the only one that actually needed to come back since the creators are huge now, the show has become a cult classic and the creators have still been very open about wanting it back
>mostly because the guy behind ren & stimpy's a piece of shit.
Which doesn't matter in the slightest this time around.
>Ruined Nickelodeon
>Ruined MTV
>Ruined Comedy Central
>Ruined Spike
>Ruined Star Trek
Why would anyone trust Viacom?
>Spike
Can't ruin something that was awful from day one.
You're right
>Ruined TNN
>Then subsequently ruined CMT too
Which one of the 6 mass media companies hasn't done the same thing? Your argument could be summed up as "TV sucks so it will suck".
It's just a joke. It's like calling any South Park character gay just because they've been in homoerotic situations for the sake of a gag.
Because those shows are merchandise producing juggernauts, known far end wide for their nostalgic appeal. They feel proud to ape off that legacy because it’s safe and reliable. Less of an artistic endeavor and more of an assured way to give your own name value.
The shows they hate are more niche, and hard to gain mainstream credit from. While I will agree they are harder to reboot, as they’re products of their time, they still contain more artistic merit as they’re firmly associated with one creator or team. It’s more of a reminder that “new” ideas aren’t getting in the door.
Leaked concept art for season two.
I doubt Miller and Lord will fuck up CH. The other two have a larger margin for error, but the CH team have so far yet to put a lot of effort into their projects, and CH was sort of their pet project, so I doubt they'll drop the ball.
I ain’t mad. You’re just falling for internet trolls. Get off of the web for once and leave your room.
>Clone High
Based, about time.
>Beavis and Butthead
Was never a big fan but I trust Mike Judge to make it decent.
>Ren and Stimpy
No, kill it, leave it dead, bury it. (I loved the nick run but it's over)
>Clone High
not a big fan hope its alright, but I can see it being bad honestly.
>Beavis and Butthead
god please not again, the 2011 season was okay but but I don't want Beavis and Butthead go to a Trump rally or B&B try to play a sex vr game. I'll give it a watch tho
>Ren And Stimpy
fuck off thats gonna be 100% cancer
The others haven't treated their brands so incompetently. MTV giving up up on cartoons and turning into a reality show channel is why Adult Swim exists and continued to thrive. Cartoon Network spams the same shows but they actually make new ones unlike Nick. The less said about Comedy Central's attempts at animation before reviving everything, the better.
>problematic
i hate that word so fucking much
lol way to lie about your opposition
at best individual people are in favor of maybe 2 of those reboots on average not all of them
and almost no one is in favor of them on the grounds of we need more reboots keep bringing back nostalgia from the 90s and 00s
If viacom does anything good with these reboots maybe I'll like them but I doubt their ability to make anything of quality and I doubt their creativity will do anything more than copy the old shows
Imagine if one episode of R&S reboot features a "quirky girl who's also a witch learning about her uniqueness" who keeps talking about love and telling that it's okay to cry but also fucking hates Ren and Stimpy and turns into a rabid animal whenever they're around
Beavis and Butthead: Iffy but possibly doable.
Ren and Stimpy: I don't think they'll be able to catch the charm of it, plus bad timing given all the John K. shit
Clone High: I never actually thought the day would come, I'm willing to give it a shot though and hoping it stays as good as it was originally.
