The leaks mentioned Rorschach as one of the playable characters, but I don't remember if part of the starting roster or a DLC character.

I am seven years late, but this 2020 I've had the dubious pleasure of playing both Injustice titles and I must say, how can anyone like any of this?

Comic book fans loathe it. It barely has anything to do with the source material aside from names and logos, it's yet another product defined by Hollywood instead of the source. And I don't mean that in a "Supes should be good like in the comics" kinda way. NRS only knows how to make things cinematic flavored, and goes for gritty and realistic and ugly mocap when it clearly doesn't work with the material. Watch any fight, any super or transition and it's clear how laughable is trying to make any of that realistic.

Gameplay wise, I'm not an expert. But it doesn't seem like a good or balanced game, because top play is filled most of the time with four characters (Black Adam, Aquaman, Deadshot and some other). Also, the lootboxes mechanics on I2 are a fucking disgrace.

Seriously, someone explain to me the appeal of these games.

They also stopped doing comic costumes, injustice 1 had flash point the killing joke red son, injustice 2 had generic gear

I used to be heavy into injustice 2 because The Red Hood was in it, and the only time I get to play as him in vidya was Arkham Knight's too short DLC, but I agree I fucking hate the story so much. Also like, some of the characters are OP to the max because they spam one combo thats almost impossible to block and it stunlocks you. Wonder Woman's whip/sword combo fucks me sideways every time, and she spams it over and over and over and over again. And I'm playing single player, so its not like I am just being matched with shit people online, the AI is actually spamming a fucking combo and not doing anything else. Granted, theres like, 3 combos every character can preform that is possible to actually press the buttons fast enough , but this limitation isn't present in the computer and therefore shouldn't contribute to spamming a combo

Playing Devil's advocate, they had *some* comic book gear. Like Flash Elseword breather thing, white-eyed Batman cowls (though when the game was already dead), variations of Harley Quinn's OG costume, Red Son logo and things like that.

It might be passable if you could actually get the things you want instead of lootboxing,

God the lootboxing was irritating. I remember I ranked Joker up so much JUST BECAUSE I WAS TRYING TO GET HIM A SHIRT. Why did they use Leto!Joker as their template? I still never unlocked a shirt for Joker

I know how you feel. I remember thinking at some point: "well, the game looks bad, but at least I can play as all of these usually under appreciated characters!". I even got hyped for the possibility of playing superhero dress up in I2. Then I actually played the game.

I know your pain. Even trying to change a piece's aspect costs you too fucking much to even bother.

Hellboy is wasted on this shit game, also. They had the audacity of treating the Right Hand of Doom as a gauntlet.

For some reason I'm pretty sure the next thing for Injustice, if not Watchmen, will be Metal. Whatever it is, Batkek is in for sure.
