Korra was good, Voltron was shit, Dragon Prince is good and She-Ra is better than all of them.

She-Ra was awful, fuck off Tumblr.

Haven't watched Voltron or Dragon Prince (yet) but I thought She-Ra was pretty good. Doesn't quite measure up to ATLA but neither have the vast majority of western cartoons.

Just wait for the Live Action TLA for Netflix!
If it sucks ass then we know those 2 hacks must have gotten all the good ideas from someone else.

last airbender wasn't as good as you remember and would've been ripped apart if it premeired now

Yeah, basically.

AtLA was the perfect combination of talent and ambition on a team. AtLA was a team of young, hungry, eager creators trying to prove themselves with a new innovative work. Now, everyone who worked are on it are old, tired men trying to recapture their glory.

Callum is a good husbando

>dragon prince
>dogshit
My kids like it.

What major staff from ATLA worked on She-ra?

none, that's why it's good

Nah, ATLA is pretty weak by modern standards. It's a hero quest about as complex as the legend of Zelda, with a blank template final boss, arbitrary events that grant massive power, and force used to solve nearly everything without any kind of interesting nuance.

ATLA wasn't a fluke though, it was just marketed to the average internet user at a time when they were in the target age range. Obviously you're going to struggle to enjoy TDP now, despite it being objectively a better show in all ways except the shonky animation.

>weak by modern standards
Modern stuff is largely shit though

Obviously media aimed at a younger audience will feel like shit from the perspective of a cynical adult.

You are a stupid faggot.

The Last Airbender really isn't as good as you remember. Legend of Korra is better.
Fuck Dragon Prince though.

Anyone notice that all cartoons in the “Avatar” genre (psudo anime style, fantasy, main characters are teens, tone is all similar) have LGBT characters? I remmeber when dragon prince was announced a hefty chunk of people asked the creators on the status of any LGBT characters. Not saying this is a good or bad thing but why do you guys think this is? It’s a staple at this point

Because they want to indoctrinate children into thinking the abnormal is normal.

>The Last Airbender really isn't as good as you remember.
correct
>Legend of Korra is better.
incorrect

Still mad my suggestion for the Avatar sequel didn't get made.

Yup, AtLA was lighting in a bottle.

Remember when Aang died but Katara revived him with the magic water? That death with no air benders resulted in an imbalance in the elements that could not be corrected by a new avatar. Even though it was brief, it set in motion a chain of events that Nature had set up to restore balance to the planet in an event it ever reached such a state. The personifications of the elements, pure elementals, and one with control over their power started incubation in natural phenomenon like volcanoes, mountains, etc with the leader gestating in the spirit world. After 20 years of growth they are released to eliminate the cause of the imbalance in nature: humanity.

The results would have the avatar group in their full adulthood having to counter this threat.

But nope, instead we get fap bait lesbians doing boring shit.

dilate

I bet you think the shit you just wrote sounds like an interesting story

I bet you think Korra was good.

Shut up

Far better than what you seem to consider good writing

Go beat your dick/flick your bean to underaged lesbian drama some more, shit eater.

Sorry it's not gay enough for you.

The basic shounen plot you laid out actually has too much faggotry for my tastes
Elementals and evil humans are you kidding me kid

I only saw the first season of Korra and thought it was pretty bad so skipped the rest. Seemed like teenage drama with the big bad essentially being the equivalent to a skin head spewing hate about gays (benders) while secretly being gay himself with no real threat akin to a literal army of walking flame thrower racial supremacy warlocks trying to dominate the planet.

The Dragon Prince is kino and the closest thing to Avatar's quality yet out of all the series that have tried over the years.

Elementals in a series all about the four elements is out of place to you? Evil humans when the fire nation were straight WWII Japanese is a stretch to you?

It's fucking 15 years old stop acting like storytelling has changed so much in that short a time faggit

I never said it's out of place, I said it's shallow garbage that reads like capeshit and shounen anime
Learn to read

It's probably because Avatar was super leftie at the time and so it makes sense that creators who are trying to capture the same audience would be asked if their cartoon is up to modern standards of left-wing.

Learning how to play magical dodgeball while fighting a soap box Poltard with gay undertones reeks of shitty writing too.

Atla was alright, people treat it like Buddha by Tezuka or journey to the west. It's a shallow imitation, then again it aired on 2000s Nick, so by comparison to everything on the channel at the time; it's well deserved praise. Same thing with Disney channel. The quality of cn shows varied since the Boston incedent, so I can see many unlucky fools missing out that way too.

Dragon Prince doesn't suck. At most, it seemed a bit too fast. But the antagonists have understandable and complex motivations that don't make them one note. The magic system is good and they have room to expand on the setting. Like benign use of dark magic and Duress.

Not him both Avatar shows (LoK in particular) are glorified libertarian propaganda, I don't know what the fuck you're talking about

Of course you'd think worldbuilding and villains with actual depth are bad
Why wouldn't you, you want generic elementals and evil humans instead

Are people in this thread seriously trying to imply ATLA wasn't straight up shonen bullshit in the first place?

Also, I think the romance between Callum and Rayla was too quick.

I don't know about others but I'm certainly not
The Last Airbender is very basic, it's a show for little kids you know

LoK is neo-liberal propaganda. But I wanna know how you've come to the conclusion that The Last Airbender is libertarian...
Do you even know what libertarianism is?

And of course you would think a bender playing off bender hate for personal gain is deep. Skrulls must be Mariana trench levels of deep to you.

So was Gargoyles, but both had good writing even with their childish plots.
