Where were you when he beat the comic industry?

Is this the frog guy
Lucas Russell
that's Ethan Van Sciver
this is Richard Meyer, the guy who does the Expendables ripoff comics and one Expendables comic
Ryder Gonzalez
No that's some other faggot scammer. This guy is the boomer that started it all.
Ethan Miller
For all intensive purposes
Leo Sanchez
His Youtube videos rarely surpass 15k views.
Blake Walker
Pretty amazing. I heard that the most influential people IRL don't have much of a social media following
Jace Ramirez
He won for sure. But not by being a good writer. In this age of insanity, being a normal person with some common sense makes you a hero. SJWs are so evil and stupid that you could make it big by saying shit like "there are two genders". Thats how far we have fallen.
Nathan Kelly
>some ex marine with zero experience working in the industry has several crowdfunding campaigns which are all more successful in terms of money and people taking part then literally DC "hottest writer/aritst" with every single sjw website shilling for him.
Ian Smith
lets be honest his videos are getting fucking boring.
he should do some new shit. nobody really expects any legit review from him. also hes only covered comics nowadays.
i dont watch his videos anymore. only watch clownfish tv and yellow flash.
Justin Thomas
truly embarrassing, are comics and newspapers the only industry where being a "professional" means you are usually worse at your job then outsiders?
Brody Harris
>scammer
You don't know what this word means, or you must be thinking about Zoe Quinn.
Alexander Jenkins
that video where he compared to how comics used to work in the 70s, 80s and 90s compared to know are kinda interesting.
I especially like when he quoted Stan Lee criticizing a few comic covers for not making their male hero look powerful and heroic enough and putting women on the cover, reminding the artist that their main demographic are boy you wouldn't want to see something like that.
Brandon Brooks
He has way more fans than that because all the CG youtubers praise him for being so based.
>They tried to brand him a nazi despite him having diverse baby mamas
>They filed false flags on his youtube channel and Patreon to try and get him banned
>They had all their friends in the comics media write hit pieces on him so nobody would work with him
>They laughed when he said the industry was failing and will be dead in a few years
>They tried to dismiss him by saying he wasn't competition
>They celebrated when Waid pressured Antarctic Press into dropping his book
Now all the retards are scared about losing their jobs and he is sitting back with Ethan counting his stacks of cash.
Adrian Miller
What's truly embarrassing about the whole situation is that Ya boi Zack actually sucks. Like his art and stories are very low tier and he sucks compared to the the industry 'professionals' yet somehow, this dude has managed to be more influential and important than any of the industry professionals could ever dream of being.
Brandon Campbell
you think Linkara seethes because someone with a worse youtube has a significantly more successful comics career?
Caleb Kelly
I could believe that.
Wyatt Peterson
>has a significantly more successful comics career?
Name all the successful Zack books.
Elijah Green
i don't keep track of his crowdfunding campaigns
that jawbreakers comic made a lot iirc
Angel Nelson
indiecron.com
>raised a total of 1.5 million off of crowdfunding.
Even with projects that don't make over a 100k he is still getting more $ per book than anyone working at the Big 2.
Adrian Martinez
How’s it feel to be stuck in 2016, faggot?
Nicholas Clark
And you guys that pay $2000 to read Jawbreakers, do you feel like it's worth?
Lucas Jones
>They laughed when he said the industry was failing and will be dead in a few years
To be fair isn't the industry's problems because of COVID, an act of God that no one could have predicted? In which case his being right is a coincidence.
Jace Rogers
It is mainly that, but it won’t stop faggots like EVS, Richard and all the Image wannabes to take credit for all that shit.
Asher Torres
>Even with projects that don't make over a 100k he is still getting more $ per book than anyone working at the Big 2.
I don't think you understand how crowdfunding works. That's not his profit.
Samuel Johnson
this is true
Jace Roberts
Who is this?
William Phillips
Thats not what I said, he gets more money per book because it is just him with no overhead.
>because of COVID
VIZ media is reporting a surge of sales while western comics is dying.
The man that triggered every other comic pro by making fun of their books while sitting in a closet.
Ryan Bennett
I read Iron Sights on here and I felt like I wanted my money back
Xavier Reed
>To be fair isn't the industry's problems because of COVID, an act of God that no one could have predicted?
I'm willing to chalk up "death" to dramatic flair and hyperbole, but what covid has done is shine a light on systemic vulnerabilities that have always been there.
The DM is specialized. Diamond itself is optimized. These things come at the expense of adaptability and resiliency in the face of changes. Covid was a sudden change, but the move towards digital content is a slow ongoing change, and the comics industry as a whole hasn't been dealing with any of this well. Publishers shouldn't be beholden to this system.
As many have pointed out, Viz has done well to weather these changes, because they are flexible, they have options. Their goal always remained getting their product to their readers, no matter how.
Jace Rogers
Listen, I don't actually read any of his books like Jawbreakers or Iron Sights, I love him because he doesn't do shit besides read Twitter threads on YouTube and caused an entire industry to RRRREEEEEE like children. He's great.
Owen Reed
