People are still nostalgic over Doug...

>people are still nostalgic over Doug, not knowing that it was as boring as almost any cartoon in the 80's and is only remember solely for being associated with the first three Nicktoons

Why do certain Gen Xers have such shit taste?

I fucking hated doug it was so fucking boring

Same here, and it got even worse when disney got it.

I never understood this either. And yet it was popular enough that Disney bought it out to keep it alive for a few more seasons. Who in the hell actually watched Doug? I've never met anyone who looked back all that fondly on it.

Doug was literally Charlie Brown but with weird-colored people.

>but with weird-colored people.
Even that wasn't consistent. We had some people with normal flesh tones and then some people with blue or green skin, like the show couldn't make up its mind.

I didn't have any taste so I watched it, but the fondest memory I have is of the "killer tofu" song which is damning it with faint praise.

That's an insult to Peanuts lol, the most you can say in that regard was that it was a third-rate imitation

Doug was one of the first slice-of-life cartoons and it set a trend.

Doug is underrated. It's a comfy show.

swap Ren & Stimpy with Doug and it makes more sense

>80s
>Doug
Bruh...

It really is boring AF though. Disney's version though? Pretty great.

It wasn't even a stylistic choice in lieu of showing race either they acknowledge that Skeeter is blue in an episode.

lol

>stop liking what I don't like
no

I still remember stuff like The Beets and Honker Burger and Mr. Dink's inventions really fondly

Peanuts is actually funny

I remember a lot of really specific things about Doug id rather forget as well. I kinda get the hate but at the same time it was never that stale of a show for me and something new was always happening. It focused on other characters and diverse situations, i thought it was a wholesome universe the show had built, downside was Disney fucked it up and made it unwatchable and Doug was clearly autistic as fuck and a bit of a sperg.

I hated Peanuts as a kid.

I appreciate Doug a lot now and don't care so much for Hey Arnold.

>Mr. Dink's inventions

Mr. Dink didn't invent anything. He just buys stuff that are "very expensive."

Fucking garbage.

You incel Zig Forumsomers are only upset because it's mostly autobiographical about Jim Jinkins and his oneitis Pattie

And he buys "very expensive" things because he and his wife are DINKs (Double Income, No Kids) who have a lot of disposable income.

except peanuts gets better when you're older

I msis ev erything here

Doug gave us Mr Dink, by far one of the most frightening villains to emerge from the 90s

Oops, I must have confused him with Stu Pickles.

stop being homosexual

I liked parts of Doug, but yeah, it was pretty boring, but I think that was sorta the point. Doug was a loser, and it was for kids who weren't going to be jocks, or mr popular.

I only really remember their attempts to milk the dog as the next Snoopy.

Didn't it just get a sequel.
