Are you ready for this?
SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY
do they have no original ideas
Ah, yes. James "China numbah 1#" Lebron here to ruin your childhood!
So from a creative and intellectual standpoint it's completely bankrupt, but from a financial standpoint it's an absolute genius move. There's virtually no financial risk involved:
>Iconic cartoon characters crossing over with mega-popular star athletes from a sport that's been growing internationally in popularity for decades, meaning it has an instant audience from two different demographics
>Enough time has passed since the original space jam that there's now strong nostalgia for it from the people who saw it as kids. Those people will now take their kids to go see it too, so it has an instant audience from that as well.
>Merchandise can easily be sold from it as well.
From a purely business standpoint it's absolutely brilliant and there's pretty much no reason not to do it, it's nearly impossible not to profit from it. Not saying I agree with this stale garbage, but I completely understand why it's being made. It literally prints money
So the original merchandise will probably go up in value, been looking at tazos / slammers. Already got a couple of Jordans hopefully this is a complete flop so sentiments for the original film are even stronger
Why? So you can just make another thread complaining about how the ideas are too liberal?
Even the normies are all shitting on lebron saying he'd work for the monstars to enslave the looney tunes. Which I think people would go see lol.
NOBODY wants what Warners is planning with the "not just the looney tunes" shit. This movie will do less than 400mil globally and you have one of the richest athletes who will absolutely do the black panther thing and buy out every theater in LA for "the kids" (when really it's for the ticket sales)
How much of a gook are you? His name is Lebron James.
>I don't watch sports
Then kill yourself. But beyond that be a citizen of the earth and learn some cultural shit.
>this is your Warners shill in action
This is why Warners continuously makes flops. They thought the same thing sbjht batman and superman.
>From a purely business standpoint it's absolutely brilliant and there's pretty much no reason not to do it, it's nearly impossible not to profit from it.
LOLLLLL
Stop shilling progressive shit in media. Simple as.
Warners made Perry Mason and Alan Scott gay in a single month you all should blow your faggot brains out.
I wonder if they'll make lebron James gay in this. The jersey looks gay as fuck.
Isn't he in LA and not Miami now too? Why the Miami-nights looking TS jerseys?
>I wonder if they'll make lebron James gay in this.
Lol
I feel like a lot of what exists today is because the millennial generation was the first one whose entire childhood could be summarized by the media they consumed (such was the style of the 90s). So as the content creators of today, they keep going back to the same paths that were already tread except now "I CAN DO IT THE WAY I WANTED TO WHEN I WAS A KID".
I mean look at the things men like Shigeru Miyamoto claim drove the creation of The Legend of Zelda: exploring the back country around his home in Kyoto. But what drives the inspiration of the people creating games now? The Legend of Zelda.
I am merely curious. I want to know if they want to make this SRS, super ironic, half ironic, or TO HELL WITH EVERYTHING WE'LL JUST NOSTALGIA PANDER.
>the millennial generation was the first one whose entire childhood could be summarized by the media they consumed
absolutely false. They had television shows, books, movies, comics books before the 90s. Kids grew up Star Wars fans, Ninja Turtle Fans, etc. You can feel the influence of 60/70s television on the shows made in the 90s.
Bugs is too American to be in this Chinese pandering shit
Should have been Kobe. If the Gay Liberal Media didn't have him assassinated we could have actually had a good movie
>he doesn't know about NBchinA
Oh great.
Now that song is playing in my inner mind again.
They did but I feel like the people who created things in earlier generations (even as recently as the people creating content for my generation) had a wider palette of inspiration because they weren't living their life on media consumption.
I would say the advent of cable TV was the linchpin. That much digital content available for consumption changed what people spent their time doing as kids. Going outside and exploring just wasn't as adventurous anymore when you had hours and hours of television to consume. That didn't become widespread until the 80s, which was right around the time people who create content for the present day were born (meaning they grew up at a time when it was going mainstream). Things only got more saturated from there with the NES reshaping the video gaming market and making them relevant again as a fixture of the home, the rise of the PC at the consumer level and eventually the Internet, all hallmarks of the 90s and the sort of thing I think my generation looks back on with the most fondness.
Don't get me wrong, I feel equally as guilty (I'm heavily into reimagined things from my youth so they know who they're marketing to) but I just feel like the people making pitches and being creative are drawing upon a time where you could likely point to something they watched as a kid as the source and not exploring the world for themselves.
>not just the looney tunes
"Esto es el fin, las Estrellas Monstruosas."
>culture
I hope this is just a test uniform and not the final form, because that looks awful.
Also hope Lola is drawn correctly.
Would love too see Lola again. Maybe there's a chance for Penelope in their roster?
I genuinely don't want this to come out.
Seriously there is no way it could end up good.
>Original Ideas
>Wornermedia
You can only pick one.
>citizen of the earth
Gotta love propaganda.
I'm glad it's coming out for that very reason.
Maybe it will get more people to realize that the first Space Jam was terrible as well.
>Lola gone
>either no female representation at all, or it's a lame attempt to make an opposite character (you know, the kinda ugly weak one who says "Doesn't matter how I look as long as I'm good at basketball" or some shit).
It will be awful. Everyone remembers the first movie just for Lola and the bad acting. I miss joke characters where the whole joke is that they are sexy. Also, for a sexist trash character that badly represented women, she sure was great at basketball...... shouldn't that matter the most and send a good message? Eh nevermind.
Fuck society.
The first movie wasn't any good so yeah this'll be a shitshow
*injects 20 different Space Jam meme remixes*
>lecturing someone else about not being cultured while simultaneously not knowing about the most controversial Lebron news from the last few years
How does it feel to be even more retarded than the average person who doesn’t watch sports? You’re awfully loud and proud by your complete lack of context, shut up and kill yourself or accept that you made an ass out of yourself.
also,
>NBA
>cultured
The average American, folks. Too dumb to understand the irony of that statement.
I wish they made a movie about NotKim and his clueless basketball buddy kidnapping every single basketball team in the world.
I like how you waited 4 hours to go on an autistic rant knowing that user is probably gone and can't reply and hurt your feelings.
And don't even pretend like you were 'busy' doing something else. Nobody is going to fall for that from such an obvious sperg.
