Amphibia no doubt, MUCH funnier, great worldbuilding and mystery and characters

Objectively speaking, Amphibia.
But I like The Owl House more.
I watch both shows but man, Amphibia takes its sweet ass time to make something interesting happen. At least TOH is still in Season 1 and the writing can improve towards Season 2.

Pretty much this. The Ice magic episode was a good change of pace and also a good episode as to what we should expect when it comes to learning magic. It's all around her and we get a different episode for each magic and she uses her newfound ability to save the day!

I mean, at least it works faster than ToH.
Amphibia had it's first plot beat in episode 1, and it's first fully plot focused episode in episode 10.

ToH had it's first plot beat in episode 17, and it's first plot centric episodes will be 19-20.

I'm watching the sports episode now and its so awful. I don't care that Amity has a crush on Luz but holy shit every joke in this episode revolves around it. There's no way you develop feelings for someone this fucking quickly. Also the fact that its on a magical island but half of the concepts are "its a human thing but magic!" is so unbelievably dull holy fucking shit why would anyone like this over Amphibia.

What makes Amphibia impressive is how you can argue each episode adds to the overall payoff of the final 2 episodes.

>Over each episode Anne develops bonds with each of the town members, learning about them in helping them.

I'm aware Owl House S1 hasn't finished yet, but they've already spoiled Amity, who has had the biggest arc in s1 by rushing it completely.

Would've been better if we got hints of romance in the climax of S1 with her slowly beginning to warm up to Luz throughout the season. Too late for that though.

It’s weird, most posts I see on Zig Forums say Amphibia is better, but I actually put up a poll on here a little bit before the hiatuses ended, and Owl House actually won.

You know, just because it's progress doesn't automatically make it good. If a character goes from hating someone to spilling their spaghetti every time they see them in like 4 episodes, then that's progress but at the same time absolutely shit writing.

I gotta go for Amphibia as well. Which kinda surprised me - aesthetically I would've thought Owl House would be right up my alley but I found it pretty dull whereas Amphibia has the right amount of fun balanced with story.

Amphibia does progress, especially in season 2, but even in the filler episodes, it still builds the world and develops the characters.
The world and characters in Owl House are shit, so all it has is story.

Honestly, my biggest disappointment with Owl House is how the Boiling Isles are exactly like earth but with extra eyes and teeth hotglued to stuff.
