If Grace is getting redeemed, then Simon better as well.

God i wished Jesse punched this tool in the face just once. I understand its a kid show but come on. Like he doesn't even feel sorry when explaining it to Hazel.

I’ve seen a lot of people say that Simon’s motivations for killing Tuba were only fueled by him wanting to impress Grace and rescue Hazel from being betrayed the same way he felt betrayed by the cat, and that all of his bonding with Tuba in the color car was just an act.

But I think he wasn’t totally bullshitting in the color car, and that Simon was actually finding himself just starting to think of Tuba as a comrade. And when he realized that was happening, he wanted to nip it in the bud and get rid of her quickly, because he thought Tuba was gonna turn around screw him over like the Cat did, and he didn’t want to go through that again.

Having a number in the first place means the possibility of redemption.

There's nothing wrong with killing nulls. LITERAL npcs.

If he’d felt at all sorry that would be acknowledging he may have done something wrong, and it was really important to him to justify his actions by saying he’d done the right thing and had done Hazel a big favor. If he’d thought it was at all a tough call then it’d be a lot worse because then he’d understand he may be doing something wrong, in which case, he probably wouldn’t do it.

He could’ve been a lot more sympathetic to Hazel’s feelings, but he at least sort of makes a small amount of effort to acknowledge them by saying “I know you might not understand now, but..” just before she interrupts him when she starts bawling.

cant believe i never gave this show a chance

go to bed Simon

are they "NPCs"? they seem pretty real to me

I don't give a shit about killing nulls. My problem with them is that they don't actually care about the childern. They care the power they have over them. Grace and Simon don't deserve redemption based on this alone.

Shut up. What Simon had done is unforgivable.

Dicks out for tuba

>killing npcs is morally outrageous and unforgivable

>White man evil but black woman nice

Wow, bold new direction from this show.

So where is the porn

they are more like aliens instead of simple npcs

>first villian was a white woman
>waah, why do they pick on us poor white men
Bold of this show to start filtering out newbies this late in the season.

Simon is the most based character though

Everyone who's not you is an npc as far as you know

they are npcs, they are literally created to interact with passengers and help them and that's it

Tuba wasn't even a real guide it was there to make Hazel look more like a real human

Grace has wheeled at least as many nulls as Simon has. The only difference is that Simon did it onscreen to a character the audience got to know, making him seem worse in the narrative. But in universe and offscreen, Grace has always been just as bad. She’s probably gonna get called out on this verbally at some point.

I can reasonably assume that other human beings are not NPCs, since there is no substantial biological difference between any of us during any stage of our lives, from conception to death.
Nulls are not the same. Their entire personalities and experiences are fake up until the train fabricates them. They are spun out of thin air, not people.

you know the white guy is staying evil

As a white guy he'll try to kill Hazel too when they'll find out she's a Null with a fake number.

Simon would murder human passengers if they threaten Apex. All that talk about protecting a human is bullshit. He called Jesse weak so that shows he only cares about Passengers that are useful to Apex. It would be interesting to see how far he would go if he was dealing with humans instead of nulls. But he's the type that would justify murder of humans.

I sincerely hope Tuba actually survives, comes back and wheels Simon.

But Simon will be absolutely irredeemable with no sad background while Amelia has hope for her future in her ending. You know the writers will give him zero mercy when his time comes.

You're only saying that because you don't know about Ben, Alice and Olivia yet.

Here’s the thing, though. We, the audience, know that denizens are artificially made. The Apex only believes that to be true, they have no way of knowing.

And more to the point, it doesn’t actually matter. The denizens aren’t simple machines, they are perfect replicas of sentient life. To kill one of them for sport or fun in sociopathic behavior. Anyone who’d wheel a realistic corgi, let’s say, just because it can talk has already forfeit their humanity in my eyes. I see no road to redemption for Grace or Simon.

Disney is making a Cruella DeVille movie. Bitch literally tortures and kills dogs. How the shit're they gonna make her a sympathetic protag like they did Maleficent?
Much like Simon and Grace, we don't fucking know how. We need to watch it first to find out how they're gonna set this shit up.
