Do you have more confidence in the live adaptation now that the original showrunners are out (meaning the live adaptation will have more white actors) or are you less happy they are out (meaning the characters aren't adapted true to their race)?

It's a good thing that Bryke left that means the show has a chance now.

Bryke's departure doesn't necessarily mean either of those things. Regardless of your dumbassery, it will either be better for their absence, or worse. I'm leaning more towards better because Korra kinda revealed that Ehasz had the bulk of the talent.

White actors need all the roles they can get now that BLM and twitter have decided that playing a certain role should be a death sentence

>Wh*te people inserted into places they don’t belong
>Gay biracials everywhere

It’s going to be shit

When they say white people, they mean Jews.

White people deserve to be the Fire Nation though

I don't think the original showrunners were that good but people splitting mid production is never a good sign

>Ehasz
>talent

The Dragon Prince was shit.

I had zero faith in the adaptation before Bryke's departure and still have zero faith after their departure.

I'm slightly interested in what kind if wildcard will happen. According to Bryke's statements, they left because netflix wanted the adaptation wanted 1)white actors 2)mature(sexual) themes and 3) wouldnt provide them the budget they wanted.

So this means that we might be getting a clusterfuck of bad ideas.

I dont know about you but I'm loving the idea of these clowns attempting to turn a light hearted series like avatar into game of thrones edge and sex and the classic "woke netflix" factor, I wonder who will be gay or bi?

you know theyll make Toph a dyke because shes a tomboy

I don't give a flying hoot about Appa or half the filler baby stuff that takes up most of the screen time. Each season needs maybe 10 hour long episodes and that's more than enough to tell all the actual story beats in each season. season 1 barely even needs 8 episodes. most of the crap in the cartoon isn't relevant to the story. As long as they go more into detail on the Ba Sing Se story arc, and actually pace season 3 correctly, I don't care how much Appa they cut.

The truth is that ATLA is just a fluke, lightning in a bottle, it is a collaborative work by BOTH Bryke and Ehasz. They work together well because they can keep each other in check and cover their weaknesses. But alone they make inferior works like Korra and Dragon prince.

After watching korra, reading the comics and kyoshi books, I've given up hope that anything avatar related in the future will ever be good at this point

Of course, if modern fiction has taught us anything, it's that tomboys and powerful women are always lesbians. Can't be strong and straight at the same time, right?

The problem is they'd probably cut out most of the bending as well for the budget's sake. And instead just have lots of indoor scenes of people talking. But like, Katara would be topless the whole time because you gotta have gratuitous nudity to sell it.

I'm mostly curious how this will look like.

Netflix allegedly doesn't want to break bank to budget this series. Which sounds odd because any live action adaptation of a story with ATLA's level of fantastical shit needs a crazy budget by default, the bending effects, appa and the other creatures, the environment, etc.

It's likely just gonna do the usual netflix thjng and blow its budget on the first episode then cheap out on the rest of the episode

No because we don't fucking need a live action adaptation. It would have been better to make a show set in the same universe probably about a different avatar.

This. They can do live action if they want, but they should pick a totally different/new avatar.

one of Avatar's strongest point was its characters and their development and chemistry. It's filler but without it, we'd just have shit like korra.

Some of the best episodes are uneventful and insignificant in the big picture but my favorite ones for example are "zuko alone", "boiling rock", and "the chase" .

Why did you censor "white"

The white actor shit was clickbait with no source from a registered sex offender.

I have nothing but confidence now that Bryke is far, far away from the project. They proved with Korra that they have a fundamental misunderstanding of the series and what made it good and that Aaron was the real brains of the show.

I had no confidence since before this rumor was out but now that I heard that they're trying to make a GoT ripoff I have... negative hope now
>Bryke left because they're hypocrites, there's no way Netflix is going to cast white actors without casting black actors as well, they were fine with this but since they're self-hating faggots they rejected the idea of having whites
>The nations will probably be as diverse as modern day New York anyways
>Having a little blood makes sense for a live action adaptation but there's no need for anything too graphical, maybe people being incinerated off screen at most
>Sex scenes are pointless
>They most definetly will focus too much on relationship drama because that's what they see on twitter about ATLA

I said the bulk of the talent. Not all of it.

>The white actor shit was clickbait with no source from a registered sex offender.
source on it being fake? It looked fake but confirmation would be cool

The source of the story was a known clickbater who got fired for false stories and sexual misconduct from an actual news site and founded his own so he could keep farming clicks with sensationalist stories. Th only reason it even took off was because Korra shitters on Twitter were desperate to point at it and ree.

Making a new animated series is such a no brainer but the problem is that they want a live action series because theyre desperately looking for their own game of thrones.

Think about it from a detached business point of view, would you rather A) make a small investment into a cartoon with moderate success on a childrens cartoon channel at best or B) invest a movie budget that can possibly launch the series into the main stream and make it "stranger things" level and win the jackpot

Of course it's gonna fucking fail but some clueless suit at a desk is already jizzng his pants at the prospect

Will they also make her black?

>They most definetly will focus too much on relationship drama because that's what they see on twitter about ATLA
Please kill me. Blow my brains out now. Unlike Digimon and the Sorato/Taiora bullshit, Katanng/Zutara shit has not ended and is still in full swing and Netflix will probably stoke the flames.

>Genocidal, war mongering imperialists who want to take over the world

Sounds about white

Bryke, cool world shit characters, poor plot
Ehasz, shit world, cool characters, poor plot

Do we bring Filoni in for plotwork?

If the rumors are true, Netflix wanted something like Riverdale: The Last Airbender and that's a fucking hard pass from me.

Don't forget Beautiful

You didn't like the Kyoshi books? I heard they were good.

Live-action versions of cartoons are shit 90% of the time so it'll suck either way.
