He literally did nothing wrong
He literally did nothing wrong
Eh he did some wrong but the elves / dragons are worse and he is basically the only relatively sane guy in his faction which consists of mostly morons
Only watched season one, but
>Elves trail of tear humans onto one side of the land mass
>Stop them from using the resources on there side
>Dragons fly over human air space scaring human villages
Fuck dragons, fuck elves, and fuck those kids.
This.
The show's pretty frustrating to watch in this regard.
>Viren did nothing wrong
He cast a spell without knowing what it would do, given the suggestion by a random silent wizard trapped in a mirror.
First time d&d players usually have more sense.
>He literally did nothing wrong
"Why hello mysterious elf imprisoned in a mirror, who erased any mention of his name from all the books! I'm going to ally with you. Why, I have nothing to lose, and definitely won't regret saying those precise words in a year or two! This won't turn out badly for me at all - you're a supremely powerful wizard that's imprisoned in a magic artifact, when have those ever turned out to be untrustworthy?"
Why are dragons such cunts?
But, big counterpoint here guys, he's really really hot.
>fuck those kids
Born into seemingly unmatched power, and intimidated by those using skill, hard work and ruthlessness to, for the first time ever, actually surpass them in power.
Zym seems like a good kid. I believe in him.
He's got a point
because they don't like it when these "insignificant humans" flexed on them as a single Dark Mage essentially decked their most powerful guy and fucked him up. They've been salty ever since
You described royalty. That's royalty. He also imprisoned a member of the army to cover up a coup and sent his children to murder thier young friends.
>who erased any mention of his name from all the books!
I thought it was the dragons and elves who did that so humanity would forget about him
Nope. The entries were being whisked away right before Viren's eyes. If it had been the dragons it would've happened years ago.
Because the children were going to hand over the living nuke that was Zym into Dragon hands. Trading the lives of 2 children for the lives of all humanity doesn't exactly make him The Joker.
Haha great meme dude haha so contrarian haha very intelligent.
Stop this very dumb edgy emo meme. It's embarrassing and a waste of brain-power.
Sometimes you just have to kill royal children.
It won't come back to bite you in the end.
Are you new here? This has been the most common discussion point of DP since it first premiered.
Sol Regem get his shit ruined was so satisfying to watch.
>He only wanted to have his children murder other children because those children were trying to take a child back to its mother. The end goal being the murder of two princes, one of whom is the rightful heir to the throne. At the emotional detriment of the ones tasked with doing the executing. For the purposes of murdering a baby.
This is your argument?
The humans were hunting entire species to extinction to power dark magic, and dark magic uses up magic permanently leaving nothing behind. You do have a right to be pissed at the retards that don't understand simple concepts "don't hunt your shared resources to extinction."
Ideally the matter could have been discussed by reasonable people on both sides, but both sides were led by their biggest dumbassed hardheads.
Nice strawman. The whole point is that Zym would grow to be powerful enough to threaten all of humanity. He couldn't be allowed to fall back into Dragon hands given their vendetta against the human race, children's hurt feelings be damned.
>he is basically the only relatively sane guy in his faction which consists of mostly morons
The other humans are all very concerned with morality. In Viren's initial falling out with the king, the king wasn't willing to sacrifice one of his guards to stop the assassination, even though a bunch of the guards would die protecting him anyway. Viren sees things as a numbers game, and takes issue with this bullshit.
I wouldn't call the others dumb, they just have different priorities.
>The humans were hunting entire species to extinction
They literally weren't though. They used magical animals but it was never once said that they hunted anything or anyone to extinction.
It's not a strawman. It's the plot of the story. A strawman is when you attack a position an opponent doesn't hold. What position do you not hold? You disagree that murdering the princes is a bad thing and is done at least in part as a power grab? Or you somehow think that killing a baby is morally justified?
Absolute kino
Yeah but they are sorta dumb given their positions. Like the king giving up food so his own subjects starved to feet another place (that would go on to turn their back on em when shit came knocking). Yeah its "nice" but it is still pretty fucking stupid and not so "nice" for others. The king was a fucking idiot and the others didn't want to see the problem at their doorstep.
It took me a long time to understand who Viren really is. And it was hard to see, because I really...I really looked up to him. He’s smart, and the way he talks, you really believe that he’s a good person, that everything he does is to protect his family, his home, or all of humanity. He makes you think that as long as you do what he says, you must be doing the right thing. Even when he asks you to do something bad. Something....evil. So, the truth is, someone who wants you to do horrible things, and convinces you that they’re good, that’s a villain.
Ask the unicorns if that's true.
>Or you somehow think that killing a baby is morally justified?
Yes. If I had one chance to kill Baby Hitler I would bash his head in with my bare fists. Zym was a living nuke. The Dragons were pure evil. The lives of two children is absolutely justified when weighed against the entire human race.
