Let’s talk about GT’s Ridley

What was with all the push the last two weeks where new girls joining two cartoons (Glitch Techs Ridley and Amphibia's Marcy) were spammed as trans and all that? I mean Amphibia's thread had an almost coordinated-seeming attack during her debut episode. It's almost like a certain other show about domiciles for nocturnal birds brought in a ton of tourists from twitter who are shitting up the place thinking that hoaxing everything as trans is "bashing the fash" here.

That was kind of surprising too. She's not really bad, but she is definitely selfish and willing to play dirty. Still, she kind of has reason to be, Miko and Five did (unintentionally) wreck her place.

an honestly intriguing character in the sense that she wasn't as generic as i thought she was going to be. it's nice to have another semi-malicious entity who's out to do things her own way, and the relationship she has going on with mitch now what with her not getting wiped and him holding onto some of her modded tools leaves a lot of room for potential shenanigans in the future

she's arguably one of the best parts of season 2 and i really do hope we get more so we can get more of her. plus she's cute.

my initial thought was that she had expected a mind-wipe esque scenario and had hacked some of the gauntlets beforehand, possibly exploiting something that would allow the flash to temporarily not actually work. she'd play the part, act like she was clueless, and then go back home with the knowledge she sought to get to begin with.

She's about as autistic as anyone here on this board. Calls people normies, is hostile towards anyone who she sees as a potential bully, etc etc. She's your typical self-protective nerd character. No rug munching yet but I want her and Miko to kiss.

Ridley and the potential of a new third party faction that isn't the company, the tech or the glitches is the best thing that has happened to the show that season.

I'm glad Pidge found work after the terrible Voltron ending.
