It was lightning in a bottle. At the time they were doing stuff that no one else was doing.

Indeed

the early early 2000s were a different internet

Yeah, it was better. Objectively.

It was dot com.

All Adobe and Apple had to do was come to a fucking agreement and we'd still have Flash to this very day, goddammit.

I'm pretty sure it was dot egg

Or dot muffin.

I'm more pissed off at how they could in theory just keep it, but they're deciding to drop support. Really cool.

flash does have vulnerabilities though

>That's a real popular song!
>Who wants to hear it 50 times more??

I don't know whether to vomit or have a seizure

Pretty much anything Homsar says is gold
>I'm not gonna lie to ya! That's a healthy piece of real estate!

Happy to see more H*R love here

It blew my mind when I found out they made a music video for They Might Be Giants. I'd been a fan of them years before I discovered HR.

I can honestly, without any doubt, full confidence, say that this is the absolute worst piece of media I've ever had the misfortune of seeing.

Not even clicking this

I thought I had some Teen Girl Squad fanart on hand but can't find it...

and this is for a how many gallon toilet, ma'am?

Almost based

Never had a chance to grow with this. Haven't seen it.

My chocolates! Come back, chocolates! I didn't mean what I said!

S

You probably won't fully grasp how important it was to the formation of children's senses of humor, but it's still worth checking out even as an adult.

Its almost like if you were to watch SpongeBob for the first time

Did the brothers even authorized it?

No, they were actually baffled by it because they said that they would have been fine providing voices or even giving input for the character interactions. Like they would have been completely fine contributing to the skit themselves.

This is like a parody of shitty edgy Newgrounds cartoon parodies, but it's completely earnest.

Bump

they literally just stole assets

One of the best things about HomestarRunner is that it uses the website itself as a medium to flesh out the world. Having you choose toons through a remote control in Marzipan's living room, those themed home screens, and the little easter eggs they'd hide make the world they created feel alive in a way no website has since.
