Should i make a webtoon/webcomic even though im shit at drawing?
no but I ain't stopping you
Do what you want. Whether people like it or not has less to do with the art than you might think
Don't let a lack of drawing skill stand in your way user.
thanks king
learn scene composition and writing
One might not be a good artist but he has some natural ability. Given that he obviously had no formal education in art his understanding of paneling and scene composition is frankly amazing.
i took a photoshop class that dealt with scene composition so i have that checked out
he has been making manga for 20 years. also, lately his drawings have been pretty good. just read the fight between garou and saitama
Learn how to write.
People will usually let a shitty art style slide if the writing is great.
Case in point.
Yes simply to create and practice but no one is going to read it because there are a million of them
i just want it to get big enough to the point where i can make a gofundme and get a better artist. kinda like what ONE did
Depends on what you are trying to achieve. Do you have a great story that you absolutely have to share with the world? Do you just want to kill some time? Are you hoping to make it big and rake in money?
There are better ways to do the first one and you can forget about the last one, but if you have fun drawing and interacting with the one masochist that will actually read your comic, then do it.
In any case, you could have answered this question with a trip to the archives or by not being a pussy and trying it anyway. But since you have to ask Zig Forums of all places for permission, I can tell you right now that your comic will suck and you should kill yourself, nigger.
If you do, don't let the opinions of it on Zig Forums sway you
Worked for One punch man
you can always write and get someone good to draw your comic
that would cost a lot tho
And no one else.
Homestuck?
You can but there's a lot of webcomics in the marker
So for people to give yours a chance you need or a very good style or a very good premise
Before you make people hook up with your writing and scenes you need to lure them in
No. It won't get you money, fame, or clout. It probably won't even make you happy.
problem sleuth
Post an example of your drawing
>Have tons of ideas that would make good comics
>Only skill is writing
>Dating artist gf who wants me to write
>Says we should collab
>Pitch her an idea
>Seems like she has zero interest at all
>Worried that if I keep sending things to her that she doesnt like the sound of she'll lose what little interest she had in cooperating in the first place
Shit guys, how do I improve when it comes to pitching ideas? Never really had to before.
Never stopped the Starslip guy and he made one of the best comics to date. Don't let your lack of skill stop you from doing something, people ALWAYS get better with practice.
Give us a test page of what you can do
It doesn't need to be your actual project, just a showcase if your skills.
Please do it follow your dreams I’ll be forever haunted by it for years to come
Best case scenario, your comic gains popularity based on its writing, like One Punch Man or It Hurts. Worst case scenario, your comic becomes an infamous work of outsider art. Either is a win for the audience, so go for it.
that sucks user. whats ur story about? maybe she doesnt like it cuz of the genre
i dont really have a drawing program right now
Never stopped anyone before
Hawks is cute
