That’s not how things work. Development takes a LONG time, and your project may not be funded right away due to pre existing obligations. That being said, future showrunners still have to find work in development. Dana did it with DuckTales, Ian JQ did it with Steven. Don’t get it twisted

No, she had a development deal contract, which means she was on their payroll just to spitball things and try and get a pitch greenlighted. She’s no longer their employee, she theoretically *could* get a call down the line if they want to re-visit her ideas but considering exec turnover is very common it’s very likely anything she came up with will quickly be forgotten or the people she worked for will no longer be around to remember it soon enough
