Left is a Gore Witch. Right is a Aesthetic Witch
Left has to go after monsters and other Witches and kill them in order to get stronger, so he can fight more Monsters and Witches to get to to some un-specified end point.
Right just lives and does what they want to do, learning more and more just to better themselves and apply what they learn to whatever they see fit, if its going around abandoned malls or going to old places in the woods in order to uncover some knowledge its what they will do.
Left and Right used to be real close and then for "reasons" they have to fight eachother And Gore Witch got the first hit in.

So how do you start? I take it this thread isnt actually for beginners but after doing all of chapter one of drawabox and almost finished with Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain how do I proceed? Like if I just want to draw people, and monsters, and monsterpeople and the various events that can happen to them, I feel like I don't even know what I don't know. If I should stick with traditional materials if all the artists Ive asked use Tablets and swear by the tricks you can use with them. Its all very sort of intimidating to proceed.

Right side is for proper study techniques, so you would use the tools in the book to study a subject in real life. Draw a Box gives you both warm up practice and construction, so using those tools to warm up before drawing and breaking down a subject/ building one up from imagination. Being able to apply the lessons outside the book/ lesson helps your mastery. In your case, make box people/monsters, perhaps based on references.
Traditional materials are nice in their limitations. This opposes tablets and digital programs, that not only have a bigger upfront cost, but can overwhelm beginners with their near endless possibilities, leading to relying on digital tricks to supplement bad habits or lack of technique. But If you can hold off on using every option in the program, and put effort to chronicle your attempts/studies, even bad ones, then doing digital shouldn't be too bad.

First thing is,don't buy a tablet if you are not 100% sure if you like drawing,the people that know how to draw are good at art in paper and in digital,having a tablet is not going to make you good.And because you are lost,having to decide program,brush,keybindings....etc is going to lose you even more

Because no book or video is going to keep away the practice that you need to do,every single day,don't listen the retards saying that you just need to do sketchs,have fun,draw and color big drawings
But be prepared,you art is going to suck,that's a general rule,the frist year of drawing is making shit afther shit,but little by little you are going to suck less
