It would be cool to me if Sonic won because my young mind registered him as the fastest thing in fiction at a very young age.
But I don't like relying on Archie feats to get it done. Specially since that continuity is over and unlikely to ever return.

Wally’s powerset goes beyond the source of his powers and doesn’t need any recharge or time limit like Sonic has.

Plus, even if Sonic could just hurl Wally to the Zone Of Silence, that place can’t really affect Wally too much since his abilities have already gone above the source of his powers. Personally rooting and betting Wally for the win, but I wouldn’t rule out the battle to be scuffed to Sonic’s favor if he won.

I can see two explanations. Either Wally is simply cut off from the Speed Force and while still fast can just be straight up killed there and he couldn't pull SF revival shit. Alternatively Sonic just linked the ZoS/Void to the Speed Force itself and it engulfs the whole thing causing it to crash or something. There's also chaos control bullshit

Rooting for Sonic. I like him as a character, and it'd be nice for the franchise to finally get a win again.

Depends on the whole constant feed of positive energy to get it to chill but it could in theory do it. I also think it was buffed by being properly merged with The Void or something but I could be wrong.

Wally saying he was moving faster than the speed force when he was trying (and failing) to dispel dark matter off a planet. There was a clear start and end point in the image and he ultimately ended up tripping on Mobius Chair presence. Perspective means nothing as it is essentially no different than frozen time in that case.

Wally May draw from the power of the Speed Force, but his unmooring practically meant that he’s gone far beyond anything that the Speed Force would allow such as being able to outrun it and his Speed Force lightning getting turned into his own Hope
