I don't think it does have to do with the tournament moreso mods deleting waifu/husbando threads as a whole.

We can't exactly confirm rules unless the tourneyrunner actually shows up
They are mostly set in stone, it's pretty much just things like how long show the FOTM rule be and what the limit for characters in a series should be

The earlier rules are posted, the better. Absolutely everything should be worked out beforehand and not change even once. Once things are underway, allowing even the smallest rule change opens the floodgates to endless metaposting. That’s what happened last year and it nearly sunk the whole contest. I just want it to be clean and civil. That’s where OC thrives.

Don't think they will, they have deleted prep threads last year too and the kept the tornement running.

Of course I'm more excited for mr Zig Forums since that was actually fun, last year there were no controversies from that tornement.

They just get disqualified for a year.

Just going to list some of the rules I've seen people discuss but aren't finalized. If anyone can add anymore feel free
>FOTM: 1 month or 3 months after debut?
>Character limit: 5 per series or 3 per series? What should be the exclusions due to too muddied of crossovers (right now it's DC, Marvel and Disney)
>Supports for successful nomination: Should this remain at 5 or should it be bumped up to around 8-10 to weed out some of the excess nominations that likely will never make it? Right now it's at 8 so I think this one is confirmed
>Should characters who debuted from non-co properties but are in a Zig Forums property be allowed?
>Should variants of characters be included separately (such as DC Superheroes Girls versions of characters vs the main comic version) or under one unified nomination?

Mr Zig Forums is just a bunch of bros hanging out and talking about characters they like and memeing them. People "pick a side" but most don't care if Kronk or Grim or Hank or Courage won because everyone likes all the characters
Ms Zig Forums is characters people waifu, and that turns more cancerous and people hating whoever wins more

Arguing about FOTM never made any sense to me. No matter what date the contest is, some character is in the spotlight. If it was held in December 2019, I bet Elsa from Frozen would have won. It’s all arbitrary.

Yeah I'd love to contribute content to the Ms competition but pretty much all of the fun and interesting entries are knocked out really early and it just becomes waifu wars.
