This is Peter J. Tomasi, the only writer at DC comics who isn't trying to ruin Batman. Say something nice about him.

I like his beard
I like Tomasi but he's not the only one.
I liked his Nu 52 Batman and Robin run but I don't think his works would be better than 'Just comfy stories'
I miss him on Superman and Family
His Guy/Kyle GL Corps book was an all-time classic.
Fair enough, but the current state of Batshit is jokerspam, crossovers, joker crossovers, half cocked multiverse bullshit somehow entirely centered around Batman and Joker, etc that just comfy stories is the best thing a Batman book could possibly be.
He deserves better than be wasted at DC.
I bet every day he sees Bendis Superman published, he dies a little inside
He works best for small stories. He shouldn't be the one dictating the status quo, but fleshing it out by zooming in on the smaller moments in the lives of the characters.
Not to say the people who HAVE BEEN setting the status quo should have been in charge of it.
Redpill me on Bendis Superman. What'd he ruin? I've been out of the loop for 3 years and I'm not reading Bendis even for free.
Years from now, you'll look back and see how how interesting Tom King's Batman really was.
Superman allowed Jon and Lois to accompany Jor El on a summer vacation through space. This is after an arc where Jor El had gone crazy and tried to fund acts of terrorism across the world. Lois got vored after half an hour and went back to Earth, but decided to hide out under a pen name and not tell Clark where she was.
Mean while Jon got sucked into a portal where he was held prisoner for 7 years and tortured by Ultraman, he escaped but completely missed out on his child hood. He's then sent off to the future where Lightning Lad is black because Jews are autistic about red heads. And then Superman revealed his identity to the world becuase everyone thinks Lois left Clark to have an affair with Superman.
And Doomsday's gay now.
DC should publish SuperSons in Manga format written by Tomasi (art by ???).
Have it be a good intro to DC comics. Like its in continuity but set up for younger audiences (not little kids but younger teens)
I'm actually surprised that he didn't get the One More Day treatment.
>completely missed out on his child hood
Fucking close enough holy shit
>Superman revealed his identity to the world
Was it funny at least? Like just removing his glasses or something?
Nah, the BatCat shit is cringe and dragging out Flashpoint Batman is a conceptually bad idea even by capeshit standards.
He doesn't rock the status quo.
Eugh man I dunno, you say that but his Arkham Knight story wasnt great. I'm really surprised to see Zig Forums loves Tynion though, his book reads like a 16 year old hitting all the "big" beats.
Both of them at least have Batman's voice down, which i think covers a lot of other sins. I find it weird that King's best Batman dialogue is in Strange Adventures. But some of his one shots knocked it out of the park.
They shouldve kept DickBats.
>Arkham Knight
I totally skipped that without a second thought.
>They shouldve kept DickBats
At the bare minimum he shouldn't have been returned to Nightwing.
Its a highly flawed take but I agree with you. I'd rather have something that shoots for the moon and often misses, than people retreading familiar ground with what they feel is the "definitive" version, when really it's just a limp dick repeat.
And then there's post-Rebirth Snyder who went below even that. That guy is a hack.
What's wrong with Nightwing?
Not that guy but in terms of character development its a massive downgrade from literally being Batman. Grayson was interesting at least because it gave the character a fresh furrow to dig into, but Nightwing is only ever written as a v one note character, hes always written in the light of Batman, his whole character is that he's the guy who graduated from Batman's mentorship except he didn't because DC aren't interested in building a lasting world / rogues gallery around him. Literally everything about him is either lifted or twisted from Batman's Gotham. I say this as someone who loves the character.
Nothing's wrong, its just that it's character regression. He should've actually gotten out of under Batman's shadow.
I didn't read his new run yet, but based on B&R he doesn't strike me like a good fit for Batman with shit like anti-New Gods armour. Also while he is a great character writer, his plots are mostly forgettable.
This fat guy sucks
I'm willing to excuse the hellbat based on the situational context as it related to Damian. It also led to good character moments and good stories. The anti Justice League armor in Endgame with a miniaturized red star in it was some retard shit though.
Only good thing about the reveal was joker leaving Luther like 30messages of just laughing
You're a fucking retard. The Hellbat armor is way worse.
based tomasi
Kek, what issue is that in?
Why?
Lol no. Tom King has been so shit, what fanbase other than Catwoman wants him to write for them? Are Superman fans lining up for some Tom King action? No. How about Flash? No.
hellbat armor was way cooler take the stick out of your ass
The special about Superman revealing his identity.
Nightwing already was out of his shadow that's why he stopped being Robin and used a Kryptonian hero's name he heard from Superman to forge his own name in Bludhaven. Rebirth Nightwing under Seeley was decent and had all the setup it really needed for a writer with a bigger better story to come in and give us something cool but they just kept putting on writers dragging their feet and restrained by big events fucking with every books plots. Then they shot him in the head man.
Superman: Villains one shot. That's where that bit went down.... I think.
Without him we wouldn’t have GL: Rebirth and he had one of the best Superman runs in a long time
