What went wrong?
What went wrong?
James Gunn can suck a chode.
I stopped watching part way through the episode where they're thrown into Bane's hole-in-the-ground jail. Specifically when Ivy had to go on stage and try to do the insult comic bit. I don't know why I stopped, but at the same time I've been reluctant to go back. I think it's one of those second-hand embarrassment things.
>5,000 dollars has been deposited in James Gunn's account.
No one is watching HBO Max Jimmy, they have nothing to watch.
Gays thinking theyre the majority of tv viewers
HBO Max has no shows, and the latest corporate brainstorm is "Maybe what we need to do is put in Ads."
www.cnbc.com/2020/05/27/hbo-max-with-ads-to-launch-in-2021.html
AT&T shits the bed again, dragging both WB and HBO down with them.
Its main problems were a lack of editing oversight for the writing staff and their general inexperience.
Individual gags hold up fairly well out of context, but when put together they form an incoherent mess of a show with no established tone and wildly inconsistent characters. At times it feels like a late night monologue.
Outside of people with nostalgia for BtAS and comics, it just isn't a funny or well-written show AT ALL.
>and the latest corporate brainstorm is "Maybe what we need to do is put in Ads."
shit that might be a good idea
>3rd most popular streaming show among all platforms
>"what went wrong"
Nothing. It's just taking a while for a third season to get greenlit and Gunn wants more.
It wasn't that well written in the first place, but they absolutely shit the bed in part two with the fucking love triangle.
>3rd most popular streaming show among all platforms
yeah right
Pushing Harley this hard to begin with, a sin started by DC itself.
It was unnecessary as shit, but at least Kiteman/ivy was sort of cute until they shat the bed
Probably has more shows than Disney. And their creators are really committed with the audience and ratings. I bet they are getting some commission for everyone that watches their shows, which is actually very smart.
Now. AT&T may not be the best in managing a TV channel or media company, but they will be dead before they sell it. Since internet platforms exists all Telecommunication companies dream has been profit from the produced content rather than profit for it transport.
Now ads won't be too much problem. More likely they will be offering service tiers where you will need to pay more if you want no ads.
Anyways. They know Cable, Satellite and TV Channels in general are dying, as Fixed telephony 10 years before, so they are transferring their business model to streaming.
Expect an attrition warfare the next year, and let's see who survives.
So just to be clear:
>There is a pandemic that makes live action more dangerous and cartoon production the safer route
>Warner Bros isn't making more Harley Quinn
>Warner Bros isn't making more Infinity Train
>Warner Bros is canceling Venture Bros
>Warner Bros IS going forward with The Batman despite the pandemic which has already infected their star
I don't understand the thought process of this studio.
What if I don't want a third season?
I sure as hell aint getting HBO.
You got a drive, a vision and a passion? You hop to it and push for a S3.
Streaming is so broken up, between licenses, contracts, censorship and “premium” payments on top of monthly, this shit is becoming Cable 2.0
On a different note, how can season 3 be possible? It seems like they tied off all loose ends already. Hell, even Darkseid went "K, you get to live for a bit"
>more expensive than Disney+ and Netflix
>Making a “cheaper” version with ads
Its like they are making the argument that Piracy is the better option
If the love triangle is the thing that made realize it was bad, you are a part of the problem.
You don't need to fill time in streaming
>Warner Bros IS going forward with The Batman despite the pandemic which has already infected their star
What's baffling to me is this. You'd think they would be more careful with the pandemic.
trying to turn Harley Quinn from sympathetic comic relief anti-villain into some kind of queer feminist hero role model substantially changed the character for the worst and made her less interesting.
Making Harley a protagonist let alone imagining she's redeemable.
I'm surprised it took this long for a streaming service besides Hulu to implement ads.
Season 2 fucking sucked, also lesbians are ruining the cartoon industry
Warner Bros has always been retarded
no nudity. just another """"adult"""" cartoon pandering to 14 year olds who think saying the word "fuck" is edgy comedy.
stopped watching, stopped caring.
I always ask myself... is it that hard to follow Timmchad's idea and make Harley Batman's cock hungry slut/partner?
I kind of agree. If you're going to go all in on cursing and violence, it's dumb to shy away from nudity.
What's the likelihood of another season of The Animated series?
You saw the new movie. It sucks.
Less likely than Harley Quinn getting a 3rd season.
I liked season one but found season two to be progressively pandering. It could have been fine had they paired Ivy and Kiteman, beyond that a disappointment. I could be wrong but it seems like it should have ended here. I'm excited for S03, just curious more than anything.
So then explain She-Ra getting 5 seasons
Like WB on their own would have done any better
Well where else are you gonna watch Game of Thrones again?
I see them trying to revive Justice League Unlimited before that. It's still kinda in popular demand as THE Justice League cartoon and DC shit the bed with their last animated universe.
