Imagine being Matt & Trey having prided themselves on being ahead of the curve at all times for the last 15 years and now finding that anything worth discussing is already sent through the internet a dozen times over before they can write one line of script. Anything they joke about will be old news and unless they have the balls to pick a side in the argument they won’t be relevant at all soon. They should try doing simple kid centric episodes but it’s impossible because their own childhoods are nearly now 40 years distant and they can’t relate to anything modern kids go do without filtering it through aging Gen X cynicism.
