Something warm and sweet like a pumpkin pie or coffee

Vegetable soup and pumpkin pie for dessert. Or a roast of some kind. You want something homely and a type of staple comfort food. A cold, spiced cider would be a good drink with it too. Then followed by a warm cider later.

OR butternut squash bisque to get the best of both worlds. Then baked apple for dessert instead.

I’ve always hated mashed potatoes, and baked beans. But I’ve recently discovered the benefit of using molasses to make Fall River Chow Mein and it’s been working out pretty well, when I can find the appropriate noodles.

That does sound nice.

Apple cider donuts and hot tea.

For tea I recommend an orange pekoe blend with cloves, cinnamon, and dried orange peel.

I liked this miniseries a lot. It's still the most overrated piece of media this board engages with. Seeing all of you shiver and shake in religious ecstasy over this was such an alienating part of 2014. I do not doubt that most of the posts ITT were typed with trembling hands on tear-stained keys.

Tome of the Unknown was a lot more interesting to me. It's a real shame they ditched the train altogether.
