How did they manage to make a show set in a magical/fantasy setting so fucking boring?
How did they manage to make a show set in a magical/fantasy setting so fucking boring?
How did you manage to miss all the other Owl House threads in the catalog?
It's basically a show about a mundane school with some magical elements.
Gravity Falls meant snarky self-aware kids with a mystery box backdrop was in
Dont really go into setting its just Not Hogwarts.
1. It's Disney
2. It's a show for toddlers, meaning adults aren't meant to enjoy it
>How did they manage to make a show set in a magical/fantasy setting so fucking boring?
According to Dana she wanted to make the setting more like hell but disney execs forced her to tone it down.
This. She was gimped from the start.
Least she got the gays in!
They turned it into High School Musical without the musical
I honestly wonder if they gave her an ultimatum between having her dark story line or having her lovable gays.
What'd up with modern cartoonists and Hell? They don't even use the interesting version of Hell from Dante's Inferno. They just go with "hot place full of people who swear a lot".
>toddlers
No, it's for kids
The creator is creatively bankrupt and is immotionally immature. The show might as be about her self insert feeling unreciprocated love (or reciprocated since it’s her fantasy) for her ex roommate’s self insert. With the backdrop being ever upper-middle class white girls interest. Hogwarts, Pokémon, and surface level anime
My shit theory: Viz, Dana, and Hannah Daigle (Satina) grew up during the atheist boom. That probably influenced their want to counter Christianity by making hell fun.
Maybe it's just not for you. I personally can't imagine finding this show boring. Watch something else.
Don't watch disney
if thats the cast why is Amity a gay perv?
Wow good job proving you didn't watch the show and are parroting memes.
This show clearly has things it wants to do - and no, I'm not talking about the lesbianism you fucking child - but couldn't because Disney is constantly mandating shit like keeping Luz in a high school setting with wacky recurring characters instead of having her go on dark adventures.
wouldnt make much difference, she cant write for shit
Show is focused on characters over worldbuilding. The Isles and magic system are all interesting but the setting is built to serve the character arcs. When the fantasy stuff can take center stage, like in the snow episode, the show is exciting, but there's a lot of high school stuff where the magic feels like window dressing. The First Day is probably the only Hexside episode that doesn't have a stock high school sitcom plot; the school felt unique for once.
Look at the retarder nigger loving kik making excuses for his globalist agenda fag show. Get fucked sheep and enjoy your made up “virus” ruining the economy. Disney is a Jew run oligarchy aimed as dismantling the American way of life and only trump can stop it
Did you post in the wrong thread, user?
But her gays aren't lovable
WOKE retards who had nothing to say beside wanting to write more lesbians usually pick up other established uninverses as their own. IN this case Harry Potter setting and a quirky witch from anime.
SJW's like She-Ra and Owl house creators are the types who would make Female Ghost Buster movie again
Wow. Thrilling commentary.
>kids
No, it's for teens
Pretty sure they confirmed that Hexside was their idea, not Disney's, which means that the biggest issue with the show is nothing to do with Disney
Not to mention if they can balance out the characters like in Adventures in the Elements once they can do it again, they just can't write for shit
