LOL
LOL
Where is the joke, Buckley?
Wait
This is still going?
The joke is that Francis is now Cole. Because Kutz is creatively bankrupt.
I hope one day we learn how he managed to alienate Strab, Bald, Piglike, etc.
>I hope one day we learn how he managed to alienate Strab, Bald, Piglike, etc.
I miss the Blamimations and other stuff he and Straub did at Penny Arcade. They seemed to work really well together.
I've always assumed they reason they aren't friends anymore was over one joke that Straub didn't take well, he was too woke to let go and Kurtz was too stubborn to take back. Because from the little anyone has said, that's exactly what it sounded like. Which makes it sadder.
Did this ever get good at any time? I remember reading a few hundred pages of the archive like a decade ago and wondering why I was bothering.
>over one joke that Straub didn't take well
What was the joke?
We'll never know.
No, not really. Though it never really got really bad either, it's just trudging along being utterly mediocre with the rare chuckle-worthy strip.
i used to follow pvp back when i just read every single webcomic i came across and i honestly don't remember a single thing about it
There are honestly much better comic strips in newspapers, but that can be said about most webcomics.
The Penny Arcade guys alluded to their friendship breaking up for a different reason in the news post responding to questions about why their spin off comic "In the Trenches" - a workplace comedy about game development - was quietly shelved.
They said Kurtzman wanted a "stitch and bitch" that was more social, where Gabe and Tycho saw it as a chance to break away from doing more Penny Arcade and create something new.
Unfortunately this meant Kurtz wanted to do more of the same, in his comfort zone, without pressure, while goofing around and having fun - which is just about what the opposite of what the PA guys wanted.
In the end they discovered that attitude kind of seeped in to every level of their interactions, and they just couldn't work together.
Which certainly sounds like it's got plenty of room for dumb ass drama, but also just sounds more like two much much more successful creators politely brushing off a lazy talentless hack who hoped to do some social climbing.
Did he ever lose the weight? Because let’s be honest there is no getting away with being an obese entertainer who works from home without being somehow despicable
>obese AND has bad teeth
he's never gonna make it
Now this is actually Laugh Out Loud worthy!
I was talking about Kurtz and Straub.
Bald
>I hope one day we learn how he managed to alienate Strab, Bald, Piglike, etc.
Gee I can't imagine how the guy who once dedicated a five strip week to spite other webcomic authors he felt had let him down could manage to alienate people
I remember this
1/5
I remember Straub and Kurtz held and emergency podcast to shit all over Onstadt for ending Achewood
>He insults his fans!
>it doesn't take that long to make a comic
>what a jerk!
Then straub just walks away from Broodhollow and tweets about drumpf for 5 years
Haha hee hee fwee fee
>shit all over Onstad
unforgivable
that man's beyond good and evil
Whimmy whim wham rofl
That last panel is comedy gold. Fight me.
I'm actually thinking of another one, which had sinfest among the targets
This is the same as the Starbucks tranny, isn’t it? A bit of a fly-by-night con artist, ain’t she?
Kek!
