What did Zig Forums think of Building Stor-Hahaha just kidding Harley Quinn and Deadpool aren’t in it and it doesn’t air on the Disney channel you’ve never read it

I have it but haven't actually read it yet. Just takes up a chunk of space right now.

ITT: OP thinks he's special for reading a book nobody else did.

What did you think of Ghost Tree, OP?

I’ve read enough Chris Ware, thanks. I’m glad you like pie charts, though.

By any chance, did anybody not like Jimmy Corrigan but liked Building Stories?

Jimmy Corrigan is too self-pitying imo. Despite the time jumps it feels all one-note. Building Stories has its depressing parts but isn't too indulgent. Also the art is so much better. Anyone read Rusty Brown (vol1, I guess) yet?

>Rusty Brown
Not yet, but it seems like it's more of the same. I'll get around to it eventually.

Does the new Rusty Brown collection have the parts with him as an adult or just the kid parts?

Ware is crap.

Fuck Chris Ware.

Look at these two totally different guys

But he's universally liked, by comics readers and creators alike.

I hope they do a Cartoonist Kayfabe on this soon. Have they done a Ware one at all yet?

What a dumb comment.

He is though

He's only featured heavily in the prologue, when he's a kid. The other chapters are about the lives of other characters and Rusty only makes a couple brief appearances so far.

It's all material he's released already except for a new part at the end about Rusty's teacher Ms. Cole. It's just the existing Rusty Brown, the bit about his dad, and the Jordan Lint book. I'm dreading a part two that expands upon the already horrific peeks we've gotten of Rusty as an adult.

Building Stories is like most of Ware's work in that it's really dense and confusing but once you get into it you're stuck there, and the whole thing is so bleak and depressing you feel like shit for a day or two afterwards

What if I always feel like shit all the time

I liked the part about the bee, OP.

I own all of Chris Ware's books but I think I've only re-read the ACME Novelty Rainy Day Fun Book. It's the least depressing Ware book (still super bleak but at least funny)

LoOl

Those guys are fucking faggots.

As both, I hate the guy.

Hahaha look it’s this guy. Man you’re easy

You take the easiest bait goddamn

I got this for 60-80% off and got another copy for my friend. We still haven’t read it but I finally read Lint last year

I really want to get into more of Chris Ware's work, it's always looked cool to me.

Cartoonist Kayfabe is great. I’ve learned a lot from them. Bought a bunch of their comics since I found it a few months ago too.

Most people start with Jimmy Corrigan but you can really start anywhere with him

I feel like shit all the time, part of it might be my diet.
But reading these comics, I feel nothing. Just a little boredom.
