Last week, Toonami did OK after coming back from a 2 week hiatus from the normal schedule. This week however, things were an absolute mess. Super claimed the second all time lowest lead performance in the blocks 8 year run, after claiming the first slot only one month ago. But the records don’t stop there, Jack and Naruto claimed the 1 & 2 slot for lowest ratings on Toonami ever. The only positive thing of note this week is Jojo, AssClass and Black Clover managed to perform about the same as they did last week, despite Super starting so much lower.

So the NBA effect is already visible. That was fast.
Daniel Scott
If this was the NBA effect it would be a lot more dramatic, this is what I expected just from leading the block with super reruns... again. The fact people are still turning out to watch Jojo and Assclass and BC shows people still want to watch new content, but are tired of reruns, and apparently tired of Naruto in general.
Joseph Wilson
Fuck sake, I'll take Boruto back over these goddamn reruns.
Aaron Thompson
A lot of the Super audience is Latino origin. They hate blacks, so seeing Toonami throw in with BLM during Super probably ran a lot of them off. But as we know, they never stuck around for anything else, so that’s why the other shows don’t see any worse off. Naruto wouldn’t be so bad off if it wasn’t sandwiched between reruns
Gabriel Mitchell
Go fuck yourself retard. We can have other premier shows, they don’t have to be Bort. They have shown with AssClass they can go back to slightly older shows with complete dubs, that opens up a lot to choose from
Nolan Smith
Move Super down already. Let us start with JoJo or Ass Class.
Nolan Thomas
Didn’t le faggit man say they were considering Tokyo Ghoul Re? I’d like some seinen schlock to break up the Jump monotony
Connor Hall
Fuck off cunt. Boruto was so fucking unpopular despite being a premier it got fucked axed. That's One Piece-tier unpopularity.
Landon Martin
We didn't really see that dramatic a drop from the week before. Again, this is still less of a drop than I expected just by leading with Super. I expected viewership to drop continuously ever week Super leads the block until eventually every show after it has better ratings except for the other reruns.
Anthony Walker
There’s no way Jojo could lead, but AssClass probably could now that it’s past the slow intro episodes
Jackson Adams
That’s tough to achieve since it has Family Guy behind it. Peter props up anything
Sebastian Collins
It’s getting pretty damn close though, considering Jojo is ratings toxin in its own right, I never thought I see the day it’s right on the bumper of Super that airs in front of it
Gavin Russell
>people turning out for AssClass Will this fix Demarco’s irrational fear of shows with complete dubs? People want to watch new content on the block, doesn’t matter if it’s available elsewhere or a few years older
Jaxon Green
Super has the worse fan base. They want to be Justice Fags but hate it when Beerus, Zamasu, Jiren, or Frieza I stills order by wiping out the dregs.
The problem with Toonami is that it's airing battle Shonen.
Daniel Nelson
That’s one of many problems. The main problem right now is the presence of excess reruns that are no quarantined to the final hours of the night.
Aiden Hall
What’s one show (no older than 2010) that you want to see on the block?
Isaiah Gutierrez
Now that VB is confirmed cancelled, how long does Toonami have? It’s not about ratings at this point, it’s about cost cutting all low yield projects. Sure they have their originals, but they could either forfeit those to CR entirely, or just sit on a husk of a block that is 1-2 hours long until those shows air
Jacob Howard
the fucks the NBA effect
Dylan Wright
I rather rewatch Inuyasha. I at least have a full week to process it. Battle Shonen is a commitment
>I’d rather rewatch Then fuck off and rewatch it on your own. Don’t make other people suffer because you are too autistic to watch anything new
Mason Campbell
Making an aggressive, public support statement to BLM causes ratings to tank. NBA is at record lows because of it.
Tyler Taylor
I think Toonami was the first cut, but unlike VB it wasn’t a full out cancellation. Remember how many slots we lost prior to corona? That was our scaling back. AssClass is the first new show in 10 months, it’s clear they are just keeping the block alive enough to air the originals then fold. AS probably won’t be far behind it
Oliver Ross
They need new shows airing like Star Blazers and more hours. They lost a lot when they cut the hours back.
>I'd rather watch something bad once than something good twice No wonder Demarco is able to get away with shit pickups...
Zachary Moore
We have been over this. Old shows get shit ratings. And Inuyasha is a long runner so it's not worth the price. One Piece and Bort were kicked off for that reason.
Xavier Perry
Season 2 never ever, especially after the Eric Trump tweet.
