What would be your odds of figuring out what was really going on? What direction would it go? Is the Grace case some big historic mysterious unsolved one given the freaky circumstances? What kind leads and evidence exist anyway?
(Let's be kind and assume there are a couple hundred thousand ex-passengers on Earth currently and a decent chunk of them are refusing to stay quiet or let themselves be convinced it was in their head)
Pretty easy, even if only 1% of passengers talk about it that's still a lot of people from wildly different situations and who never met each other describing the same situation
Also, if you were to get lucky and find Lake you'd literally have a living metal girl as proof.
Dylan Miller
>Say you're a detective in the Infinity Train universe who's taking a crack at cold cases I would eventually discover that these people were all stupid enough to board a creepy mysterious train that coincidentally appears when they are emotionally vulnerable, thus I leave them to their deserved fates.
Jonathan Kelly
Why would I be there? If I were to kill myself I wouldn't be doing detective work.
Easton Russell
Odds are Lake is hiding in the woods, is too tough for animals to get, and with no need to eat or sleep, will be fine unless some scrappers overpower her. Finding her ain't worth the trouble and practically no one knows she's there.
No, the REAL prize is Tulip, she's in a public area, young, active online, going to a programming camp, and uh, SHE HAS NO GODDAMN REFLECTION.
Nothing short of the government causing her to suffer an unfortunate accident before anyone can get to her could stop the news getting out.
Samuel Hill
I always felt it was(atleast implied) with some of the higher number cases there was a bit of bewitching going on
David Jones
>>Dies of a kayaking accident at camp shortly thereafter.
Ah, what a shame. Nothing to see here folks >whistles
Jace Harris
100k, let's say 20% are either too old to discuss it well or were too young when boarding to remember it fully, 20% have convinced themselves it never happened, and 30% are keeping quiet, perhaps out of satisfaction or trust of the train, perhaps out of fear of social isolation or mocking or perceived insanity....perhaps even fear of being disappeared.
Even then, that's still a solid 30% of people who are making a fuss about what happened to them. Ah hell, let's assume half of those aren't tech savvy.
There's still like 15k people dicussing it online in some way or another, and that's with a nice mid range estimate(I've seen ones putting the total at 10k and this number at 150, I've seen totals at 1 million putting this at 150k, let's say 15-30k tech savy people on the internet trying to talk about what happened)
There are way way way more people claiming alien abuction or demonic posscession and alot of the details in their stories tend to match(cold tables, being unable to move, vague dreamlike memories) and that's never been accepted.
Unless they get to Tulip or Lake, no way in hell
Lucas Roberts
>being this delusional The characters are just abject retards. Don't make excuses for them.
Jack Fisher
>Blaming people for making bad decisions when emotionally vulnerable.
It's called being vulnerable for a reason.
Jason Clark
Hey kid........ya want some candy? Yes! WELL, HOP IN MY TRAIN
Chase Stewart
>being emotionally distressed is somehow an excuse for being a fucking moron Not how that works, retard.
That is how it works, ya canoe. No one is 100% logical and aware all the time, especially in moments of distress or doubt. Emotional decisions do happen, and they happen often. To think differently is downright delusional.
Unless the train is abducting the equivalent of the entire US population, 1% of passengers isn't going to be a notable amount
Grayson Evans
>No one is 100% logical and aware all the time,
Tulip tried to do that, breaking down the things she encountered into logic puzzles that had a clean answer, but the Train requires emotional growth.
Emotions, from my experience, are not at all clean and can be messy.
Jason Cruz
What the fuck is wrong with Simon? What happened to him at the end?
Caleb Barnes
What the hell happens if, say, a psychopath who literally has no emotions gets on. Is that a 0% or a 100%?
Daniel Morgan
he died horribly
Zachary Edwards
>season didn't end with Grace getting off the train Does that mean the next season will be about her getting over her problems or will it be about Emilia and Hazel, leaving Grace's story unfinished?
Jason Allen
That was just on the train though
Ian King
he was raised on a train with a best buddy that realized their path was bull. He could not evolve and died terribly. It's a beautifully horrific path.
I don't think a psychopath could get onto the Train, they're broken from the word go, while the Train seems to pick you up when you're at some kind of crossroads in your life where you can either be better or worst.
Colton Miller
Simon couldn't accept change and the thought he may have been wrong about his beliefs and drove out everyone in his life who could have helped to fight off the ghom. He definitely died.
Gabriel Stewart
Obsessive personality type. Spent too much time simping for a social butterfly with poor morals Introverts should never get into relationships with extroverts.
Michael Morales
Likely Amelia and Hazel.
And considering how this show works, I don't think there will be anymore significant focus on Grace. At best I think she'll show up for one or two episodes for an entirely new, unrelated protagonist, which might serve as her exit.
Liam Gomez
he got his essence slurped up by a fleadog for being a shit.
Michael Scott
What’s the successful hunt rate for it anyway?
As in, what percentage of people who have the train pull up in front of them get in, and what percentage have the sense or fear(even in emotional turmoil) to back off or run for it......or pass out drunk.
We just don't know yet. I doubt Grace will be getting any good amount of screen time again so soon although it would be kino to see her and Amelia talk about grief and lost time and lost husbandos
Aiden Evans
Not kidnapping if ya willingly got on
Jordan Fisher
he was a real pretty man though
Adrian Gomez
>I'm not a caretaker >spends entire time taking care of Hazel and making eggs for her I would watch.
Eli Johnson
Also, if I get portalled/Isekaied elsewhere, does that put me out of range?
Jayden Lewis
eggs
Ethan Hughes
His past wasn't mentioned though?
Ian Kelly
I really don't think the Idea of change mattered to him that much. It was the perceived betrayal that broke him. The Cat left him with some severe abandonment issues and when the chance of it happening again appeared he freaked out and ruined it for himself. Literally everything could've been avoided if Grace had just given him a handy while Hazel wasn't looking
Nope his past is never revealed. We just don't know.
Some anons believe that this mean we may see Simon in some capacity again, but I doubt that. The writers seem to want Simon's past to be a mystery.
Nolan Carter
Why did the Gohm explode though?
WHAT DID IT MEAN?
Cooper Thompson
Do you KNOW how many calories are in a soul?
Luis Roberts
>Literally everything could've been avoided if Grace had just given him a handy while Hazel wasn't looking He still would have turned on her whether she'd given him a handy or not. Is a hand job supposed to be the "we good" to someone as emotionally fragile as Simon?
Jaxson Diaz
Simon's soul is too fat with numbers. Ghoms are like a tick. Sometimes they just won't stop. But seriously it seems like the writers are holding out for a future lore dump on ghoms.
Gabriel Watson
Probably.
I like to headcanon Sasha from Amphibia was hours away from getting shnaghaied for her behaviour and theft and generally assitry, but got sucked into Amphibia before it could catch her alone, and so it kinda kinda rolled its wheels and gave up on that front since Amphibia was out of range. Although that’s not really much better considering that’s even deadlier.........but also there’s no traingod with extortionist therapy so win some lose some
