Not sure if this got a thread yet, but this show is from CN Europe Studios, the same studio that made Gumball.
>Elliott from Earth is a 20 x 11-minute animated sci-fi comedy about a boy and his mum who find themselves suddenly transported somewhere across the universe surrounded by an amazing array of aliens from new and unknown corners of the galaxy. While trying to work out who brought them there and why, they make a new home for themselves and encounter new friends, including Mo, the only other being from Earth – a dinosaur.
i don’t believe you but at this point anything in this style could be a new cartoon network show

I wasn't the biggest fan of how the background characters on Gumball evolved, so these alien designs aren't giving me the most positive first impression. Hopefully the writing'll be good and the visuals will look good in motion.
I know he said it was a mutual parting, but I'm pretty sure that's just PR spin. I feel like he went down with Ben Bocquelet when the Gumball staff got accused of sexual harassment and a hostile workplace.

Wait, what did Ben do?
Luke Ortiz
He got sued and Cartoon Network had to defend him in court. He won but Cartoon Network probably didn't like the whole thing. It was just some stupid bitch who got offended that Ben joked about an ugly stripper's disgusting breasts.
It's kinda fucked that Ben conspired to fire Louise Coats just because he couldn't accept that he'd overstepped his boundaries when talking at that party. It seems like they were on good terms after he'd apologized via email the next day, but I guess he just HAD to get her kicked out of the office because she'd be "too high-maintenance."
Ben Bocquelet isn't some MONSTER or sex fiend, but I do hold a lower opinion of him if this is how he reacts after getting called out for one minor toxic behavior he could easily fix in the future. Hopefully he's learned to be more understanding since then.
That wasn't a joke so much as ranting about an older woman's appearance. All Louise did was email him expressing her frustration, and Ben could've just accepted that she's not cool with that kind of talk. Maybe other women in the studio are the same, so he should be more mindful about how he "jokes" with them moving forward. That's growth. Simple.
Firing her and inviting her replacement to an awards show was petty as hell.
