Much like Spender and Zarei, the comic is spinning its wheels for years at a time.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Shota Spender is cute.
I like wristposting but I don't like this one.
Hello.
I like Paranatural
I do as well. Like I admit the last two chapters have been pretty rough, but I've been enjoying this one a lot so far.
Wait, is the page implying that the Black Sun and that sock puppet (which is probably the root of those spirits Zarei has been creating) are Wights, or are they just meant to represent dangerous secrets?
Most likely for the Darkness spirit, not sure about the puppet.
I really like the panel of Boss Leader's face peeking through the bandages, and how her voice bubble stops being wavy for a little bit.
Do you guys think that what you see is what you get, and she is just a kooky but ultimately well-meaning person, or is there gonna be some shady twists?
Why all the secrets?
Everyone should just trust each other more.

I don't think any character is actually "evil" on this shit. Think about it, I can't name one villain, not even the Forge spirit was that bad.
I don't even know what Spender fears about revealing he has an Eldritch abomination trapped inside. That they will do what to him? Trap him in dreams?
The stakes are very unclear.
It's especially unclear since it seems like Boss Leader would be capable of destroying the shadow spirit without a problem, since any spirits brought into the dream with their spectral partner appear to be greatly diminished.
...also he apparently never told his childhood friend that their old nemesis was not only still alive, but one of his co-workers? No idea what's up with that
Davy Jones seems pretty bad so far, just with a soft spot for his son. The other villainous candidates, the skull-mask cult and whatever possessed Max are probably bad guys but we don't know enough to say.
Is going g to be some dumb shit that would have been solved if they just talk to each other, isn't it?
I wonder how long the Sandman's hosts last before he wrings them dry? Like it seems like Boss Leader has been around for a little over ten years, but she seems to have at least five predecessors and to me, it doesn't really feel like this operation is old enough for all or even any of them to have died of old age, and it seems implausible that more than one or two were assassinated in their hospital bed.
Also, I feel like it's implied that Boss Leader's first exposure to spectral stuff was becoming a medium for Sandman, which is why she has white energy instead of her own color, but does that mean that Sandman just possesses a random person after his last host dies and then said rando is placed in charge of the whole organization? Because that just sounds way too slapdash to actually be the case.
>her
Oh shit it's been ages since I've caught up with Paranatural. Honestly it looks like it's getting better and it's kinda exciting we get to see BL's face. Hopefully a miracle can happen and eventually the comic can get back on track and look as good as chapter 2.
I mean, it's -possible- that there's an actual good reason for the secrecy, but I'll be damned if I can think of any outside of a literal geass forbidding it at this point. Like Boss Leader really does seem to be trying, both now and even then years later.
>Please don't be scared
I wasn't able to say this last week, but I really like that, despite being monstrously powerful and the result of a grudge going through like... a singularity of hatred, Sandman doesn't appear to be evil or chained by the Spectrals.
Though I guess that means that the thing with the scary door that said "Look at me" was a different Wight, right?
Spender Is both, best and worst boy.
Remember when Hijack was able to act as a better mentor than the genuine article?
I'd guess that Agent Summers, whoever they are, is a big part of why Spender doesn't trust anyone, but honestly who knows.
Being shit is his defining trait
At this point Spender needs a really good reason for his constant secrecy, otherwise he's endangering everyone around him for literally no reason. It's not like people can't know about it since both Isabella and Max know about Spender's spirit. With Boss Leader both in the present and the past being nothing but legitimately helpful it doesn't make sense why Spender is so secretive with all the knowledge available, at least on a subject of him being a medium, where Boss Leader can obviously be of help.
Thing behind Zarei is the fella on this page right?
Also worth noting is we now know the significance of Penny needing to hide her spectral energy.
I completely forgot Spender had a sister. Wonder how long it'll be until she shows up again.
So does the fact that Spenders sister have white energy mean she's either carrying a wight, or is capable of hosting one?
