Now that the movie is finally released...

Now that the movie is finally released, will they make Dani and Rahne a couple in the comics to capitalize on the synergy? It worked with Runaways.

I hope.
But I wish they would also make Roberto even darker.

I hope not. I'm sick of characters than have been friends forever being made lesbians because people can't tell the difference between friends and lovers and ship incessantly.

>I hope.
Why?
>But I wish they would also make Roberto even darker.
Not going to happen.

Worse, there was already a lesbian who was the leader and founding member of the New Mutants but they cut her out.
Why gaywash characters when the source material has gay characters?

Given that dark characters receive so much backlash nowadays, Marvel is going to play it safe and light skinned. Can’t upset the southern audience.

The same can be said for friends of different genders and even relatives. People see characters with such great chemistry so some start to think they work better as a couple, especially when those characters don't have any stable relationships of their own.

>t. Bible thumpers

No thanks. This gay/lesbo shipping is getting old.

They don't do synergy with things that are outside the MCU or are flops.

As oppose to decades of heterosexual?

This!
Fucking straighties have millions of works with heteronormativity. Let us have this!

Heteros make me upsetero

I think I understand the Zig Forumsmblr meme now.

Engage in intercourse

where were the wall faces from the 2017 trailer

i wanna see wall faces

It’s possible that was footage shot exclusively for the trailer. Then again, who knows what went down behind the scenes

That sucks. This is really important for the community.

Don't get me wrong. I love all relationships except poly. And heteronormative is a stupid made up word.
But complaining about homosexuality in media is dumb. Now force diversity is much more appropriate to complain about. Poor gingers.

Maybe, it wouldn't be completely out of left field like it was for Iceman, the two were written with for than a little lesbian subtext whilst Claremont was helming the book. But given they just cannonised Kitty as Bi, I don't think it'll be soon.

Also it seems to be pointless to synergise with the death rattle of the Fox X-Men franchise.

In this case, complaining about homosexuality and forced diversity makes sense. They changed two characters who weren’t gay into a lesbian couple, yet they couldn’t have the balls to adapt the actual gay character from the comics. How do you fuck up pre made brownie points?

I'm pretty sure everyone wants to forget about this trash as soon as possible

Even when Claremont was writing for them, they still showed attraction to boys. I just think Claremont is physically incapable of not writing subtext between female characters.
Also Kitty is bi now?

Doesn't Rahne have a whole werewolf family by now?

Why the fuck was Magik a racist bitch?
Granted she was kind of a bitch in the comics but not “Pocahontas” levels.

The X-Men is turning into an LGBT franchise and there’s nothing you all can do about it!
Die mad!

I didn't mean to imply making them lesbians, logically they'd be Bi if you were to cannonise the relationship in comics. Though its certainly possible for people who thought they were straight to realise they're gay later.

Kitty kissed a girl in the newest Marauders.

>trash
Marveldrone detected

this particular scene was actually in the final movie, but they skip over her scary visions
she basically just sees a scary inky cloud that rains blood, the sensors on the security camera "detect an anomaly" if i remember correctly.

who were the characters that they never got around to including gonna be?

There's nothing I want to do about it. I'm all for it.

Aren’t there already canonically LGBT X-Men? I don’t mean to come off as anal, I just find it weird writers try to make established characters fit into marginalized groups when they don’t focus on the ones they have.

Why?

We know about Sunspot's dad, and there were rumours of Warlock (who was cut from the original script). Beyond that, no idea.

If we’re going by the original roster from the comics, Karma (especially after the controversy), Magma, Cipher and maybe Warlock to set up the sequel. This is just me guessing; it could have been the Hellions for all we know.

Rahne in the comics shouldn't be a lesbian, she has enough guilt with her kid dying. But Dani could be in with the big lesbian orgy of Kitty/Magik/Rachel/Karma.

Lesbians are the greatest thing in the world

Forced conflict. Illyana would have been better if she showed she could leave any time she wanted by teleporting outside the bubble. Then her reason for staying would be because she likes the other and likes pissing them off. She can call it a cage but it's actually her fortress to keep the rest of the world out

>best FoX-Men movie
I'm so glad it didn't go out with The Dark Pheonix

Rahne literally had an emotional breakdown in the comics when Rictor told her he was bi.

That I didn't know.

>I just think Claremont is physically incapable of not writing subtext between female characters.
Rogue never showed attraction to other women. Not his fault most women are Bisexual in the real world
