It's a bizarre thing. I mean Woody was Andy's toy yes but beyond that he was the leader and protector of all the others.

I could have seen Woody giving up the role of Sheriff and becoming "Mayor" of a sort having an office in the Closet where he'd still fulfill his duty he has to the toys.

The core of Woody's character is fidelity. Andy wasnt playing with him for a while but he was still there for him and his friends, there was 2 movies where people offered him the option of having a bunch of kids but he rejected them because what matters is making the one child that he cares about happy anytime they need, and his friends. EVERYONE in the fourth movie was out of character, especially Woody and Buzz that shit was a travesty and not canon to me

It was stale, all that was left was comedy which was honestly pretty good still, spanish Buzz still cracks me up. But otherwise it was too tryhard in its attempt to be the "big" (supposed) last movie. The apocalyptic imagery of the ending was cringe as all the fans going "omg i was like totes crying for realz, right in the childhood"
