Probably Volume 3 if the quality keeps up I’ll probably finish the series, so far I’ve really enjoyed it. After Alita I’ll probably go back to Conan, I finished Omnibus Volume 1 last week.

Probably work through more of my never-ending backlog until I get paid and can afford the next volume of 20THCB. Wanna pick up Spurrier's Hellblazer TPB too

There’s a new American splendor anthology? Or it’s an old one and that’s just the title?

It still hurts bros

>20th Century Boys
Fuck yeah

Just the title, big orange one. Seems like a cheap cash-in to coincide with the movie, doesn't have much rhyme or reason to its contents. I've no idea how AS is collected so took a chance on it.

I got to see Urasawa in person at one of his recent exhibitions but I sadly hadn't read Boys at the time, amending that now. Thank fuck for these big fat volumes, I burn through the chapters like nothin'

if I've never read conan before, should I go with savage sword or just plain ol conan? I know savage sword is b&w and wasn't censored, but apart from that which is better to start with?

I saw him two years ago and got 20th Century Boys vol. 1 signed. It’s been one of my favorite comics for at least a decade so that was a big deal for me. He was really nice and I told him I love Yawara.

It’s a pain in the ass to figure out how AS is collected mostly because they’re pretty much all out of print. Someone needs to do a full collection of his work.

Why can't they release a collection of Lucifer that looks similar to the Absolute Sandman collection? Is there some real reason why they haven't? I want them all collected but the Omnibus is just too thick for my reading tastes.

Awesome, I wasn't able to get anything signed unfortunately but I was lucky to be at his exhibition the day after its launch when he did an impromptu live music and drawing session for like 15 people who happened to be there, was magical. Also picked up the first volume of his new series (which we probably won't get for another few years in English)

Yeah I'm stumped as to why AS hasn't been given a proper archival treatment already? Seems like a glaring omission in the canon of American alternative comics already well collected

Email Fantagraphics and Drawn and Quarterly and let them know you want it. I don’t know if that ever actually works but I’m sure to them one personal email probably equates to like a thousand people that would buy it. In fact I’m gonna do that right now

I prefere SS over regular Conan. I would check out the first couple of issues of each online and pick from there. The main difference is that SS is darker. It has more violence and sexy stuff but both are really good

So far I’ve only read Conan, working through the omnis right now. But it’s great, I strongly recommend it. I’ve heard SS is better, but just based on what I’ve read Conan is definitely worth investing into.

This week's orders.
Now wait till next week they're announced as further extensions to the 2000ad ultimate collection and are combined into 2 10 quid hardbacks as opposed to 4.

Nice. I just got the whole series in that Humble Bundle. Wanna get the HCs though

Seconding this.
>The New American Splendor Anthology
I was just thinking about seeking some of this out the other day. I’m not much for autobio/literary realism but AS is pretty entertaining. At least it’s not about masturbating Canadians.
Reading: Morrison Batman. I liked v1 more than v2 so far.I’ll probably set it aside and come back to it later.
Recently put down Segar’s Popeye, but I still have quite a bit left to go. I haven’t even tapped into the Sundays.
I’m considering reading a shit ton of Barks. I have like 13 volumes which I’ve skipped around in, focusing mainly on the adventure stories, but I’m thinking I want to go from end to end through each now.
After that, maybe some Kirby comics.

Finally got Seeds and Steams! Love the look of the book but I won't be able to read it with the slipcase bc that sticker will fall off fast. I have no idea what to do with the minicomic in a pill bottle.

now i just wait for my massive order with the Legion 5YL omni

Hey some of that stuff about masturbating Canadians is pretty good!

I’ve already read that twice. My copy didn’t come with the pill bottle and I’m so pissed! But I got a signed bookplate with a drawing of WWJ so basically broke even.

So, how fucked is Marvel now that two out of three printing presses that they use to print Epics have gone bankrupt? LSC and Quad
