>Creative and imaginative lore full of dark themes and plot twists >Epic flashy fights with great choreography and animation >Strong female characters that don't rely on emasculating/man-hating the boys to look good >Gay character reveal happens once in context and is never brought back, sexuality doesn't define the kind of person he is, his character does >Chad Kai having one of the best character development in recent western cartoon
>Gay character reveal happens once in context and is never brought back, sexuality doesn't define the kind of person he is, his character does
So gay characters are only okay when their sexuality is hidden as much as possible, unlike straight characters where it's okay to flaunt their sexuality.
Mason Thompson
>unlike straight characters where it's okay to flaunt their sexuality Why do you think this is suddenly ok? Did you see how a straight ship ruined Star Vs
Jack Foster
>Did you see how a straight ship ruined Star Vs
Fair enough.
David Martinez
can't spell contrarian without Zig Forums
Jayden Adams
Did you watch the show user? Show me instances where the characters keep saying "I WANT TO BANG WOMEN"
Sexuality is not a character trait
Brody Gutierrez
what the fuck is The Hollow
Camden Barnes
What calarts cartoons wanted to be, but failed in doing so
Sebastian Carter
that word is getting abused too often, how is it contrarian to dislike a show that only exists because of sexuality pandering?
Jason Reed
The anti Infinity Train. Or if you're Canadian, the anti Total Drama.
Landon Hill
First season was bland and boring. Second season got a bit more interesting in the end but it was still mostly just random disconnected puzzle or action scenarios with kind of shitty animation.
I'm not a fan of TOH, but to say it exists only to pander to gays is a ridiculous exaggeration (so par for the course for Zig Forums). If you were talking about She-Ra, I'd say yeah, like 85% of that show was lesbian bait, but TOH thus far has run into the issue of having far more reach than grasp.
Luke Powell
I'm saying you probably think gravity falls has good animation
Landon Turner
>>Strong female characters that don't rely on emasculating/man-hating the boys to look good Every white male character literally was portrayed as weak and emasculated to make female or minority characters look good in comparison White male characters also never got a cool or heroic moment, so I really don’t know what you are on about
Ian Lee
I don't. But the point is for a show that has a bunch of action scenes The Hollow is pretty stiff.
Luke Watson
Aw little fat incel got hurt by seeing girls on screen, he even forgot the dozens of enemies CHADam and CHADkai have obliterated in 20 episodes
The hollow season 2 was kinda interesting, although it kinda feels like they just brushed the fact that None of them are actually alive, and just continue to live in a simulation where not only are they aware its a simulation and that those aren't the people they know, but some of the game leaked out to the simulation and they probably still have their powers
I did like how Vanessa and Adam developed in the second season, and we got a little more depth into both teams.
David Jones
Kai and Vanessa*
Jack White
Kai was hitting on the two prominent women in the cast.
They did have other ideas they wanted to explore in further seasons, like what you mentioned and the reason Adam's team had two sets of powers, but it didn't get picked up for more.
Oliver Butler
So because Adam is gay you need him to go around and hit on the first guy he sees?
Carson Morales
>unlike straight characters where it's okay to flaunt their sexuality. Show me. Show me this straight flaunting you all speak of. Show me straight characters who can't stop talking about how straight they are, or even people referencing that they are straight let alone flaunting it. Then show me cases where those characters aren't considered laughable. Show me now or get the fuck out and never speak of it again.
Cameron Smith
>Show me now or get the fuck out and never speak of it again. I'm pretty sure that tumblrina did the latter
Hudson Williams
Poor Mira got the short end of the stick when it came to powers. Breathing underwater and talking to animals is a lot less cool when everyone else can fly or control fire and in general just have much cooler, better powers.
Owen Perez
She was the brains of the team tho
Camden Barnes
Marco Diaz, after season 2 every episode where he wasn’t glued to Star’s hip were about how girls threw themselves at his feet
Nolan Murphy
How about a show that isn't known for atrocious writing tho
Alexander Young
I completely agree with you 100% at least if it pandered to someone it would have a tiny bit of substance but the show is allergic to that
Easton Thompson
Are you kidding me? The white guy was beyond broken. He was the most powerful and useful player in either team, it's fucking ridiculous
Cameron Johnson
He is kind of trapped in a world with only two guys
