Come on grab your friends!
Adventure Time
this (till s4 or whenever it was dropped off) and regular show where the last bastions of decent cartoons.
i still have my adventure time socks
How about Finn learns about boundaries instead and that he can’t grab women like that even if they are friends
They were hugging each other and shit before the dykes came along to change their relationships and personalities.
Yes, they bugged him of their own choice, that doesn’t mean he can wrap his arms around them whenever they don’t want him to
finn suffered the worst type of fate as the main character in his own show
He was outdone by Cinnamon Bun
Is that the only time this happened? I remember him wanting to rest on Bubblegum's lap
What a creep.
>tfw watched this show high
Food Chan man...
Great abstract episode, love the butterfly reference in the dream of the last ep too
Knight/Princess stereotype. Remeber when that was their formula?
Back in 2015 I dropped this show right after seeing the fifth season cause I felt there was something off, but the problem is that don't recall why. Prior to the fifth season, it was one of (and if not) my favourite shows at the time. I've seeing a lot of comments about AD saying that the latest seasons are "underwhelming" compared to the early seasons and the last in particular is described as total garbage. Is it really true?
Didn't the show runner step down at some point?
I loved this show
I watched all of it, binged it, and I liked it all, but I do think the later seasons' quality is lacking compared to the earlier seasons, however I think the key episodes hit the notes correctly, and still have some high points for the most part. I wouldn't describe them as total garbage, but that's my opinion.
Come on grab Finn's butt.
Later seasons are a lot more reserved and introspective while, at least in my opinion, still being pretty funny. The energy of the show just drastically changed from s6 onward which is why a lot of people dislike the later seasons. Personally, I think some of the best episodes came in the second half of the show.
I liked those episodes, stuff like hall of egress or puhoy are peak AT
I've noticed that the episodes in later seasons had a distinct lack of energy, almost lethargic in how they were paced. The characters, especially Finn, seem so bored with everything that happens and completely detached from that genuine wonder and excitement that the first season was full of. The events just kinda unfold one after the other without any real sense of emotion of tension, and whenever characters do show interest it feels hollow. There are exceptions, of course, but in general that's how it felt to me.
There was an episode were a huge comet was hurdling towards the planet and Finn's reaction was basically 'meh.' Like, way to kill any investment the audience would have had in your story and world. Compare that to how he behaves in the first season and it's like a completely different character.
Remembering how big this show was and how hard it fell still hurts.
Finn was meh about it because it's explained to him earlier that the comet hitting Earth was a part of a cycle that had been occuring for millions of years. As far as he was concerned there was nothing he could do about it and the show never frames the comet as being something to be concerned over. When that happens the interesting part isn't the comet, it is Finn accepting that some things are out of his control.
This is how I got my restraining order.
This show went downhill after Finn and Flame Princess broke up.
I dislike how most of the views about when the series peaked or dipped are related to relationships. I just want a show where a boy and his dog can go on adventures.
for me this show became irredeemable after the bee episode
Yes, but it was presented in the most boring way possible. If they maybe showed Finn becoming upset at first and then struggling to come to terms with the reality of the situation, that would have been much more compelling than him just immediately accepting it.
He is the one who messed it up over some dream thing
This entire episode was one of the most viscerally uncomfortable things I've ever seen in a cartoon and I can't really pinpoint why.
I guess a mix of some weird him being a god and screwing up everyone, having power over his friends, it was really really weird
How sad is it that this is the only thing Adventure Time will be remembered for?
Pendleton didn't know how to run a show and essentially got it hijacked. He gave up as show runner because it made him such a nervous wreck and someone else took up the spot. that's why there was such a drastic shift after a certain point, it wasn't Adventure Time anymore
