I get that, but it was so obvious. Steven was wearing that shit on his sleeve and Connie was so oblivious to it I just couldn't buy it. I'm not the other guy, but I legitimately thought this was gonna lead to this ship sinking.

The problem is that Steven seemed to have issues interacting with kids his own age. Connie is the only friend he had that was similar in age (and Petey too but he was barely a presence in the show overall). Otherwise all of Steven’s friends were either high school aged teens (college aged adults in Future), middle aged adults, or other Gems. Also the fact that Steven never went to school and didn’t have much experience with kids his own age probably made it hard for him to relate to Connie’s friends. Especially since they were new people to Steven but not Connie.

id put my hands in my pockets to make sure i don't get robbed, keep my eyes away from them and look forwards as i walk past with my sleeves rolled up to make sure they know im ready to attack in defence. id keep a calm pace and make sure my face is neutral as to not antagonise and walk past. while my outside looks normal im giving off all the signals that im to be ignored by their subconscious. internally im on edge completely aware of my surroundings just in case they attack.

i will also call the police when its safe so they come and help the kid i just stabbed because him dying will be a big issue most likely. best case scenario they completely ignore me because of the effort i put into being very forgettable to them but if they are out looking to cause trouble as is a higher probability with their demographic then there is always the precautions i laied out.

Well most of Chicago isn’t shit despite how we’ve been terrible in terms of gun violence in the past years. But there’s zero reason for anyone to venture into the projects or the gang infested areas on the South Side as there’s literally nothing of value to see there food or attraction wise.
