Ed being a retard is why none of the kids hold resentment towards him. He is dumb and he can’t help it. He even gets along good with Rolf because his brute strength is useful for farm work.

Double D is smart and extremely polite to everyone. He is shown getting along with all the kids, including Kevin and Sarah. Without Eddy, both of them have their niche in the group

He wasn't. The Eds were all massive kikes and tried to fuck him and his friends on the daily. Every 5 minutes was a new scam and would always result in houses being destroyed, crippling injuries or bringing the Kankers into the scene who'd then try and rape every man on the site except for Jimmy.
He had every right to be an asshole. I don't even remember him being an asshole to Edd or Ed specifically because neither were prolific scammers like Eddy was, they were essentially his cronies after all.

Pretty much all of this. Kevin acts like an asshole because he understandably fucking hates Eddy due to him being a lying, conniving, money-crazed little shit who fucking ruins everything. Imagine living in the same neighborhood as an annoying smug little bastard and having to deal with him every fucking day trying to swindle you and your friends out of your allowance money with ridiculously over the top scams that always go so horribly wrong that the neighborhood gets completely destroyed. After dealing with it so many times, you'd never trust that little fucker and would understandably hate his fucking guts.
