Why aren't there any cool black characters anymore? Who actually likes these loser nerds?

Being cool is a stereotype for black people
Stereotypes are bad
that's racist to think that blacks can't be smart
They look pretty cool to me yo
when you've subverted the status quo for too long you end up with a weird and sustained trope that serves no purpose. Anyway, you can always watch Black Dynamite and the Boondocks
>Who actually likes these loser nerds?
me
I would die for cute nerdy brown bf
Bow is a chad who fucks a PAWG queen, he doesn't count.
>get representation
>WHY ONLY THIS CHARACTURE TYPE?
no pleasing these faggots
>1/2 human
>1/4 vampire
>1/4 mummy
>Still an irredeemable nerd
Fucking nerds, they ruin everything.
The white man fears the negro
They're trying to represent black nerds because black nerds exist, yet are underrepresented by a society that loves to define being black as being "thug" and if you dare to get good grades in school as a black person, you're "trying to be white." Fuck that shit.

Original Sin
>the John K respecter
Sorry, but that name makes his post invalid. That just how it works
>HOW DARE YOU PORTRAY BLACK PEOPLE AS "HARMLESS" THEY'RE DANGEROUS THUGS THAT ACT LIKE APES
very progressive
seething calart student
you forgot werewolf
You're right you can't please those types, but in this case I'm pretty sure "the John K respecter" isn't someone demanding representation in cartoons.
Because these type of characters were originally to be a counter to the stereotypical ghetto/street black kid you'd have. But then it became a common thing to turn the smart kid into the Token Black.
The other problem with this screencap is the fact these are all 2010s-2020s characters who are black & nerdy or just not stereotypically black. The thing has been here for a long time:
>Irwin in Billy & Mandy
>Tucker in Danny Phantom
>AJ in FOP
>Wyatt from 6teen
>Wade from Kim Possible
>Virgil/Static in Static Shock
I blame Jaleel White.
Because people will cry racist.
>how dare you write a black character as a black character!
So black characters have to be these completely harmless, inoffensive characters that people can't cry about.
And then you still find someone on twitter crying about it.
nobody but you is even talking about john k, what are you gonna cry because you saw his name?
Some of these are great though
There are. They just don't fit your graphic.
Did he do that?
>HOW DARE YOU PORTRAY BLACK PEOPLE AS "HARMLESS" THEY'RE DANGEROUS THUGS THAT ACT LIKE APES
this but unironically
But a lot of black boys and some girls I’ve met are cool and funny. I wish their are more Static Shock personalities in black characters.
I don’t blame black audiences who pick anime over cartoons.
based
Yeah
I love that part. Just started watching Fresh Prince again from the start.
WE
I'm not crying, I love John K. I'm just trying to point out that the guy isn't a hardcore progressive (I've read his twitter, so I know) and his love of John K is one sign of that.
We don't get as nearly as many cool male characters in general, that's just a side effect of it.
WUZ
you can literally say the same thing about white male characters as well, at least miles is competent in that spider-man cartoon unlike peter who is always written as stupid, immature and having to be rescued by girls.
the main problem is that modern cartoons are made by people who hate masculinity and think that women are superior to men
The reason they're made ineffective and simpy is so the yuri couple doesn't have any competition.
The crystal gems!
most of these shows are written/created by white/asian people and they are scared shitless of manly black men
strong =/= thug. It's good for small black boys to have a positive role model, like white kids have, that is all about using power to protect others.
AND SHIEET
Which reminds me.
The Pizza sisters.
Black bros.... are women are too masculine even when nerdy ... its over...
>police officer
>positive role model
Not anymore.
When was the last time Blade was on a Marvel show?
didn't work for this guy, he's still too cool.
Combination of reasons:
>Blacks being cool is a stereotype
>Nerds are non-threatening so black nerds are easier to peddle to whites who are afraid of blacks
>Nerds are smart, smart is good and non-stereotypical for blacks therefore black nerds = "we're not racist"
>Nerds are sensitive which is a highly valued trait amongst SJW showrunners
>All the stereotypical 'cool male' traits like assertiveness, love of sports, aggression, showing off, etc. are associated with toxic masculinity
>Nerds are more submissive and thus easier to enslave and force to pick cotton for plantation owners like Massa Noelle
He's not that feminine. He's just a lanklet
Blacks are still probably the most homophobic, so you gotta work harder to break that down.
Just like with white men they are emasculating and trying to destroy Black Men. They have almost finished with the white men they are coming for you all next.
his chorizo is like a babies arm.
to be fair, id fuck bo
>Social media? No way! That stuff's for people with no friends.
Urkel was the ellusive ubernerd. He was so nerd that he became unironically cool
>She-Ra
He ain’ black, no matter I see that way.
>Be Black Nerd
>Both Underachieving Blacks and Racist Whites REE because you're not Trashy and Ghetto, which doesn't fit their narratives.
>Progressives treat you like some sort of Exotic Bird and want to give you gold and cookies for existing.
Also a bunch of these white cucks need to project into there characters, hence it's themselves as black
Fresh Prince was such a great show. Perfect blend of comedy and drama, and it made you think, too.
Good
Never turn down a cookie. That’s my motto
Why do white people do this
>the John K respecter
Fuck his opinions
is it hard to date for a black nerd
Based and Masspilled
I agree, he is like so problematic! He doesn't even respect women, ugh, can you like, actually believe this in 2020? What a misogynist.
oof yikes sweaty
>anymore
I'm a Zoomer and even I know this has been going on way before the 10's
