Why is Shazam less popular than other superheroes?
Why is Shazam less popular than other superheroes?
Because a comic about a child getting powers and turning into an adult should be aimed specifically at children but it's still written and drawn like middle aged men read it.
Who is best girl? Mary or Darla?
Because DC sabotaged him at the apex of his popularity, sued his creators into submission, bought the wreckage, and buried it for decades.
Now they just want to see if they can eke a few nostalgia bucks out of him. Won't last. When AT&T is disapoint with the Black Adam box office, you won't hear much from him for another generation, if ever.
Calm down, we have one more Shazam movie.
DC as a company genuinely doesnt want him, he is popular enough that they cant bury him but he never gets the push a character with his fanbase deserves.
Action Comics backstabbed Fawcett Comics.
But be happy knowing that Shazam is everywhere.
Everytime you see Ultraman, Ben 10, He-Man remember that without Shazam it wouldn't have been possible
>thinking this is some kind of w
Vendetta against Fawcett
Do you believe in qanon too?
I just bought the new printing of Jerry Orway's Power of Shazam! Nice book.
Because you took Captain Marvel and turned it into the Abo Shazam and the multiculturepals.
Oh shit, what are they doing?
Hear me out
>what if Shazam was like Harry Potter?
This
Elaborate further because what you pitched means fuck all.
He means turning Captain Marvel into one of the dullest superheroes in the history of superheroes
Love Darla and Mary but DC buying shazam was one of the worst things ever should have gone into the public domain like stardust
I mean what if we emphasized the wizard part.
W-What's happening here?
Either they are fusing like Firestorm or they are summoning a Shazam Champion fusion. I perfer the later because of the possible power combos between the family.
This. Most writers struggle to write Billy.
You're correct about the latter, want me to post updates?
Technically it partially is. First appearances of Billy, Mary, Freddy, and Sivana are public domain
would work better with each having only one band, having to bang them together to transform
should I be ashamed for being a mid 20s man that regularly buys shazam comics?
Why is Darla so excited?
Sure!
basicly, dc has no idea what to do with any of its characters other than batman
Mary looks smug as fuck
She is.
>Because a comic about a child getting powers and turning into an adult should be aimed specifically at children
DC comics in general suck because they're no longer aimed at children. Also why the industry is dying. Easier to build a loyal consumer base when you indoctrinate them when they're young. Even if they stop buying your shit, they'll buy it for their kids, perpetuating the cycle.
Superhero comics stop being exclusively for kids since the 70s grandpa.
The problem is that there's barely anything aimed at kids now. DC had Super Sons, but somehow screwed that up. Marvel has Ms.Marvel and I assume Champions, though I've never read the latter, so I don't know if it's actually kid-friendly.
Promoting him in a big way would put Superman in danger of being irrelevant.
But that's not true. Look at the movie. None of my normie friends left the theatre thinking "whelp, that's Superman #2"
