I've posted about this before but this was my favorite movie as a kid because I related so much to Chicken Little. I thought it was a realistic father and son relationship compared to all the "fake" happy ones in other Disney movies.

They all seem to get triggered by the father/son relationship.

He wasn't though, him not being the best father ties into the film's message. Hell it's even an important part of his and Little's character arcs; the confrontation at the the theater where Little calls him out for not being a very supportive father.

that movie was the exact point were hand drawn animation died. you have toy story that was such a technological advancement and creative at the time, then chicken little normalized CGI, made studios realize this was going to be the new normal from now on and hand drawn movies finally died.

Buck was not a great father (the whole point of his character arc was to come to terms that he wasn't and to work towards being a better one) and don't know why so many Zig Forumsmrades defend his shitty behavior.

Wrong. 2D animation died after Treasure Planet flopped in late 2002. Afterwards, every studio that was still making 2D films ( Disney, Dreamworks and WB ) announced they were switching to CG and then finished whatever 2D production they were making in a rush and released them with no marketing or fanfare ( Brother Bear, Home on the Range, Simbad and Looney Tunes Back in Action )
