The preview they showed looked nice, but it's nowhere near the animation quality of the game or actual classic animation

I think the creator wanted hand drawn animation but it was deemed too expensive and to take too much time.

Their jobs wanted people heavily experienced in toonboom, so they should at least be very nice looking rugs. Itd be cool if they even throw in special poses every now and then to make it look more stretchy
