Cleo is thirsty

Is it me or are the French literally the only ones who think Cleopatra had that kind of nose

user... it’s a joke. It’s a joke on Pascal, who used the size of Cleopatra’s nose as an example of his view of history. The full quote is ‘if Cleopatra had a shorter nose history would be different’. It’s meant to illustrate history being a series of random chances (in Pascal’s view).
It does not have anything to do with archeology. It is not a reflection of a deeply rooted French belief. It is not a veiled statement on the nature of man. It’s a joke. It’s a joke, user.

But it's a joke only the French know, isn't it.

Yesss

This appeals to my refined tastes.

I know you're American

Something comforting knowing that Pascal was contemplating alternate timelines. Like he would enjoy watching the Back to the Future trilogy, and picking apart the fictitious time travel mechanics a bit.

user, the whole study of history started with Herodotus speculating what might have happened if Athens took Xerxes' offer to rule Greece as a Persian satrapy rather than leading the defence against the Persian invasion. Counterfactuals are as old as history as a discipline.

...Aaaand that's a full-body edit based on the screencap. Here, have the comic version of her.

FIGHT MY LOVE

She's more like Looney Tunes Dejah Thoris

She's the Vamp Queen has obvious Egyptian influence paired with obvious Roman influence of her underlings.
She might have Dejah in there but she's obviously supposed have strong Cleopatra vibes.
