Which show fell harder?

Imagine the two shows like taking a shit;

Star was like trying to precariously balance the shit on its end, but it was too soft, started crumpling under it's own weight, and then just fell over near the end, splattering shit everywhere, killing millions.

Now, SU on the other hand, was a diarrhea shit. There was no chance of it standing up on it's own, so the puddle of "SU" just got progressively wider. It Expanded, but didn't grow. It's the same puddle of shit, there's just more of it.

One show’s creator was basically a no-show after one season finale was done and that allowed a stark-raving lunatic to take the reigns.

Another had a show runner that due to putting too much of herself in the characters, not forming a healthy disconnect between the show and herself, and being stuck with mentally unstable fans that identified with characters in an unhealthy manner caused her to seek help from the company psychologist and retooled the show’s endig an epilogue into a half-assed PSA on mental health.

Both shows eventually started to suck and fell HARD at the end, but they reached those points under differing circumstances.

Is it because Star Vs. ended a year ago and Steven Universe is more in recent memory because this thread (and board in general) seems to lean heavily anti-SU

Star, because its first two seasons were actually a good cartoon.

SU was never, ever good, the only people who liked it were woke twitter landwhales who abandoned it just as quickly as soon as the next shiny tranny object (Owl House) came along.

That's funny because people only flocked to Star Vs as the "next big lore cartoon" and dropped it like a brick as soon as it was over.

You'll still find discussion and art of SU being posted, it's harder to find for Star outside the occasional Zig Forums thread.

Porn will exist forever, even for something as shitty as Star Vs, but I wasn't referring to porn.

The board isn't heavily anti-SU. It's just now that it's over and not much else to discuss, you see the people who literally cannot get over the show constantly posting about how it was terrible all along and everyone actually hated it. They're trying to rewrite history because they're still seething that people might've actually liked it.

Mind you it's not perfect. No show is. But it's another show that helped pave the way for more serialized series rather than every cartoon being purely episodic. So if Steven Universe was the reason why we got Infinity Train greenlit, I can't be too mad.

Or here, where this user seems to think I was mentioning anything about the actual popularity of SU at the moment, instead of just pointing out how angry folks seem to get at SU.

Kinda of a tie. SU really flopped at the last view episodes of the main series and fucke up the entire follow up season, but had the Movie and Spinel to make up for it. SVTFOE kinda shit itself for the entirety of the last season, maybe the last two.

True, but SU had Spinel - The yandere goth spaghetti-armed clown girl, so that equals it out and dismisses any of your poorly written criticisms.

Star fell worse. SU had problems, but it never really changed what type of show it was. Developments in later seasons, despite being rushed and poorly written, generally felt like a natural progression from the base premise. Star on the other hand became a completely different show.

SU's was a poor ending you could see coming from a mile away. Star's fucking sucker-punched you by being worse than anything you expected.
