Also for my contribution, in Big Picture Show there was gonna be a campfire scene where the dodgeball incident was revealed.
Apparently at Double D's old school he was a loser at dodgeball, so he made a machine to win the game for him. It went haywire and iirc (It's been forever since I found this out) it was national news and it tied into why Double D wears a hat all the time.

The final page of one G1 Dreamwave Transformers comic caused much confusion and discussion online, because the emotions meant to be expressed by the characters weren't very clear. As a result, people speculated about what was going on and what everybody was looking at, then the next issue got delayed, which meant there was even more time for people to ponder what sort of twist was going on. When the story finally continued, it turned out that there was no twist, it was just a normal comic book cliffhanger.
