Imagine if someone made a reboot of this show, but it was a blend of the comedy of this show, and the hardcore violence from the original comics.
Like, Stanley Ipkiss still tries using the mask for good, but he still splatters monsters, demons, etc. lol

What made the movie so fun was the visual contrast of a man becoming a cartoon in an otherwise gritty but stylised world. By making an animated series that core appeal isn't there. If they made an HBO cartoon based on the comics, that would be better.
