I stopped watching AT around the time when Flame Princess was becoming a main character. What the fuck happened to their relationship? I thought it was pretty good
I stopped watching AT around the time when Flame Princess was becoming a main character...
Penn couldn't handle leading his crew and basically let the clowns run the circus. Every writer wanted to do their own thing with no coherent vision and as the show progressed Finn in general stopped being the focus of his own show.
got woke, went broke
sugar left the production team and nobody else wanted to explore it so they just made finn coerce flame princess into doing weird fucked up shit because he was horny and then they broke up
Imagine living in a world where Penn wasn't a beta.
>I stopped watching AT around the time when Flame Princess
>What the fuck happened to their relationship? I thought it was pretty good
clearly not
bad writing said otherwise.
show died when pen left
FP dumped Finn for tricking her into fighting Ice King because it gave Finn wet dreams. No joke. To be honest, it was always apparent that neither were ready to be in a relationship at the time. They end up good friends later on when Finn realizes how bad he fucked up and properly apologizes.
Finn became the self-insert for a bunch of weird college-aged male writers with women issues.
I really wished they didn't fuck this pair up. I was really digging the whole dynamic of their relationship. Him getting hurt everytime he tried to be near her but still doing his best to overcome the issue was kind of endearing. I always thought they were going to go make a commentary of "toxic relationships" via their relationship but all we got is Finncel and FP being reduce to a fuck hole by an old cinnamon bun.
Read Playing with Fire.
His relationship with FP could’ve been a way to get Finn off of Bubblegum’s foot but sadly the writers thought otherwise.
By Tess Gerritsen? Looks pretty interesting user I'll give it a shot.
>FP dumped Finn for tricking her into fighting Ice King because it gave Finn wet dreams. No joke.
Still mad.
I stopped watching around Breezy
I think exactly at Breezy
But I can't even remember what happened in that particular episode
Finn loses his virginity to LSP. No joke.
I think I may have just mentally blocked it out because I can't quite remember it, but I have a vague notion that you're being honest and it disgusts me.
Frost and Fire was the root cause for some of the show’s worst episodes. Too Old, Red Throne, and Breezy come to mind.
I left AT at the exact same time, as I did with Regular Show when they made Mordecai an
obsessed freak.
Why did they fuck up finn so bad? I remember when the episode where he had discovered himself by shaking the tiny people off OOO, in a masturbatory sense and the whole sexual aura really pissed me off.
I remember watching random episodes when they aired on TV, eventually as I watched TV less and less I naturally saw less episodes. One day though I was bored and decided to watch TV, and AT was on so I decided to see how it was doing. The episode I saw was Breezy. After that I obviously didn't watch it for a while, and eventually it ended and I was like "oh shit it was still going?" so I decided to give it a watch all the way through for old time's sake as I did have a lot of good memories with the earlier seasons I watched growing up.
Breezy doesn't deserve the hate. It's a beautiful allegory that gets misunderstood I feel.
The fucked up nature of the episode is what makes it so good.
>The fucked up nature of the episode is what makes it so good.
The entire episode just feels like an allegory for the psychological effects of puberty and masturbating. It's episodes like this that led to making finn to be this sexually charged weirdo with flame princess that ultilmately caused a sharp decline in viewership.
It was a real shame. Throwing a newbie adventurer murder hobo wizard into the mix could have lead to some interesting stories. Quickest fumble I can think of.
Fuck your allegories. They're what ruined AT.
>drop AT at around Flame Princess
>pick it back up
Why? There's no reason to watch the rest of the show.
Did Sugar intend to make them endgame or were they always meant to break up?
The great irony is that the people who wanted Finn to actually be in a relationship, which included Rebecca Fucking Sugar, left. The ones left only wanted FInn with a one-sides crush on say PB that never went anywhere. Despite the endless bitching about lesbians, the Bubbleline pushers also wanted Finn to get laid, the other thought he was more "relatable" to kids as a cucked loser, and they stayed while the evil "shipping" types left, so that's the ending you got. Good job.
The cucked losers only let Bubbleline happen because they wanted brownie points, true, but they always, always wanted loser cucked Finn end.
dumb pic. it's impossible to write anything good without subtext.
it's literally from a british comedy tv show
Knowing Sugar? She’d probably drive it to the end.
ah, so it's ironic.
Sugar wanted it endgame.
