I know nothing about Bryan Q Miller. Never seen any of his stuff.
Is his He-Man show likely to be good? What kind of writer is he?

i bet it will be boring as shit but Zig Forums will like it for big flashy splosions and fight scenes like Primal
dumb opinion
He's written some fun stuff like Smallville Season 11 and Stephanie Brown's Batgirl run. I'm looking forward to it.
I don't think the fight scenes will be as good as Primal's, and the writing will be abysmal.
Genndy is a master, Miller is a dumbass who is trying to make something super-serious out of source material that's not great for super-serious stories.
So who is getting turned black? My guess is Man-at-Arms, because he's the tough, smart advisor who's always saving He-Man's ass.
>rent free abloobloo chud incel etc
Look we all know it's going to happen , let's just have fun guessing who it will be.
Fisto.
Fisto's pretty tan, I'm sure they can darken him a bit and it'll be fine.
Wait, isn't Buzz-Off black??
I thought Kevin Smith and Mark Bernard were doing Netflix MotU.
visually speaking, this already looks like it'll have a better art-style than She-Ra. He-Man has an angular and boxy silhouette there on the right. I'm still expecting this to be disappointing as hell
That one's supposedly a continuation of the Filmation series
So they're going to concurrently run two MotU shows with different continuities?
how gay will this be?
Yep. The Smith one is an adult-oriented anime-style continuation (think in the vein of Castlevania), the one in the OP is a CG remake of the original aimed at kids.
Interesting.
The Sorceress.
Weren't the original toy comics more serious? Thought they were closer to Conan with the numbers filed off than anything else.
You can't do that without turning Teela too. Not that I'd mind...
Hell no, they don't have morals like the tv show but are still pretty goofy stuff. They were toys in a time when toys were meant for actual kids instead of stunted manchildren.
>The Smith one is an adult-oriented anime-style continuation (think in the vein of Castlevania)
So blatant disregard of the source material for being "silly" and turned into edgelord stuff?
So then Teela as well
Boy that'd be one way to get that plot out of the way
>gonna be gay as fuck
just like the original. Perfect.
There's two different shows.
One's a continuation of the old one, sorta - Smith is saying he's continuing the show the way he saw it when he was a kid and didn't notice it wasn't serious or that all those swords never seemed to hurt anyone.
Miller's doing a straight-up reboot.
I'm sure two different versions of He-Man coming out nearly simultaneously is a marvelous idea and won't backfire at all.
>Miller is a dumbass who is trying to make something super-serious out of source material that's not great for super-serious stories.
You presume too much from a show we barely know anything about.
He-Man worked by being campy as fuck.
If it's not campy as fuck (and it won't be) it'll be far too serious for the source material.
Just look at the trainwreck that was He-Man 2002.
And again, how do you know it won't have some camp in it. Wait until we get a trailer or something.
have you MET Mattel? I don't buy for a minute that THIS TIME they won't fuck it up.
>after wha they did with adoram can you imaginate what they will do with he-man? they will make him ivan el trolazo!
Adora is a lesbo but there's no way they'll make Adam gay, even though he was totally gay.
Mattel is infamously paranoid about He-Man since they're still chasing the dream that it'll somehow turn back into a multi-billion-dollar franchise. Which, of course, it won't.
But nonetheless, they'll remain obstinate as fuck and kill any ideas that are too interesting. It'll be bland pabulum that'll make Bleach look good. That's not a knock against anyone working on it, who I'm sure will do their best. I'm just saying that's how Mattel fucking rolls.
Spotted the midwit with his pretentious opinions.
