I actually have a really nice windowless little cubby space in my apartment that I think could potentially make a great inner core or refuge, but right now I’ve just got old cardboard boxes in it.

Been thinking about stashing supplies in it, but there‘s no other good place to store my air conditioner over the winter.

After involuntarily being forced to quarantine for two weeks this year, it infuriates me more than ever that these two couldn’t just stay inside their fucking house.

Or two and a half months from a president who has literally no fucks to give and religiously adheres to the concept of revenge and sowing chaos?

They were elderly and naive, and didn't understand how serious the situation was. They thought it was going to be a simple war like all the ones before it, but the point of the movie was to show that no, it's nothing like previous wars. It truly is the end if it happens.

I don't know about that. They had no food or water and they were covered in radioactive dust. They were fucked from the beginning even if they weren't naive about nuclear war. Drinking the radioactive rain water just hurried their death along.

If I recall correctly bomb fallout is kinda overhyped as a problem, especially compare to fallout from Reactors.

If you can make it through the first week or so without any significant contamination, you're good. Bomb fallout has a very short half life
